I would've countered with a mixed equity and royalty deal, 20% and 3.40 of each sold until Deborah gets her money back which then it drops to 1.30p. Or something like that.
This is where the US Shark Tank version of DD is so much more interesting. There is much more vibrant negotiating, including offering more than what is being asked for and they don't drop out just because they think the valuation is off. DD is very staid and dull by comparison.
