I remember seeing this at the beginning of the lion King movie qs a child and I was so enthralled I wanted to badly to see this live

Hey it’s Patrick Page, the actor who plays many characters in Broadway like Lumiere, Scar, Claude Frollo, the Green Goblin, & the Grinch.
I last saw him in Hadestown a few years ago-- he is so much younger here!
He is such a great Frollo!

The fact that you see the gazelle get torn apart by the lionesses is really terrifying, and the fact that they have them ululating once they do so, makes it scarier.
That’s what real lionesses do in real life (except they don’t ululate)
@@skunkman9815 Well, it’s when the actors revealed the disassembled pieces before the audience that freaked me out. I’m pretty sure that model was probably designed for that.

Mufasa is the strong lion performing of Zazu, and father of Simba.
Rafiki is the mandrill of the pride with a stick and friend of Simba and Mufasa.
Zazu is the Hornbill of Simba and also Mufasa
I think Patrick Page will be perfect to play Jafar
They should adapt lots of Disney movies into Broadway musicals
They're better than those awful live action remakes

@@lukecolumbus13 Sorry, Luke, I don't have the original cast sheet handy. But, this was the original touring production launched in 2002, if that helps. She is probably on a roster from that.

I got to play mufasa with act up theater and I got the voice down pack. I would love to be mufasa on broadway at least one time!!!

I actually heard that they did perform it in one of the Chinese Disney resorts.
