World Water Day

The depletion of fresh water sources in Odisha had been a pressing problem for the tribal community that resided in low-lying areas. Adding to this concern was the pollution caused by the flowing water during monsoons, making it unfit for day-to-day consumption.
Addressing this concern, Tata Steel Foundation began its spring water rejuvenation efforts to make the resource more accessible for the community.
The far-reaching effects of the project, which began in 2017, have been able to improve the lives of 240 people, exemplifying just how impactful a resource water can be.
