Sea cucumbers, an unknown ressource

Over the last few years, the demand for sea cucumbers from Asian countries has literally exploded, obliging the manufacturers to produce more and more. In many producing countries, the number of sea cucumbers has diminished noticeably. Madagascar is not an exception to that rule. Helped by International organisms, the IHSM researchers have found a way of reproducing the animals all year round, bringing big hopes to the aquaculture of sea cucumbers. Will the implantation of sea ranches in the coastal villages diminish the number of fishermen, thus saving the Holothuriculture ?
That is what is at stake in this challenge.

this creature helps a lot of making corals so if sea cucumber became endanger many lives are stake including us..thats how dangerous and the result of extreme fishing of sea cucumber.. coralsthey made is where the fishes keep their eggs and babies this somehow sad😕 as long as its not much still okay though..😣

I just purchased here in California 2 small piece (around 2" long and 1" wide dried sea cucumber for $18.00 . A pound is costing me $268.00 per pounds.. I watched it here and they are selling to the Chinese for some $5.00 per kilo and they (Chinese) is charging me for $268.00 per lbs in which is less than a kilo...

I am working on a industry that could supply global demand by proper use of aquarium tec's in the correct installs at current it's a mess and they place half a fish and prawn industry in one of the most clean ocean reefs in the world and pore out the waste from the tanks to the ocean and suck up the clean ocean to pollute then release I have 2 designed systems for fish and prawn industry at current and hope to fix on land and other industries works for next generation fishing tools under protection should be out soon
