- We've faced numerous challenges in our Swords Only playthrough, like the archery challenge, the Electro Monument conundrum, and many more. But this may in fact be the worst of any of them... as it's the only one to make me... give up?
Sapwood Blade? Leveling Weapons? Maxing Character's Ascension Levels? Check, check, and check. This is probably the most upgrades the Swords Only account has gotten in a long time.
Swords Only in Genshin Impact can be quite challenging at times. However, as the self-proclaimed master of "Weapon" Only challenges in this game, I am able to best any obstacle (probably).
HoYoVerse put out a tweet saying "Polearm Impact"... So I decided to take it upon myself to make a new account, but only use characters who wield a sword because absolutely nobody asked me to.

Seeing Java get so many wins on this episode was super refreshing, mostly because it actually affected his mood, it’s like one of those “satisfying Genshin moments” compilations
It would be really interesting to see you make a Nilou team in the future. Nilou, Alhaitham, Xingqiu, and Dendro Lumine could all make a pretty good team!

I like the change that you are gocusing on talent and character level materials than artifacts. I mean it would be fine every now and then to do artifact farming, but artifact luck is annoying since you rarely get the artifacts you want.

And also artifacts are not a guaranteed upgrade, but talents and ascensions are guaranteed upgrades

Swords only is sooo nostalgic... It's my favourite series on this channel
you can shoot down the flying ruin drakes by using the wind-blessed harpastum that you get from the souvenir shop from mondstadt
If you're farming handguards and ley lines, I suggest farming Inazuma leylines as that's the best way to get them. You'll also be passively collecting specter and hoarder coin drops for Kuki and XQ
i really like that you’re starting to focus on non-artifacts while upgrading characters!!! its so satisfying to see all the characters being lvl 81/90. i agree, next video you should go farm for their talent books. after everyone is lvl 81 and talents 8/8/8, artifacts can come in.
don't forget level 90 weapons as well

And focusing on permanent upgrades over luck-based ones is definitely a better idea.

this is so satisfying. leveling chars, talents & weapons is legit my favorite part of the gameplay. it's so satisfying to make my faves strong and much more reliable than artifact farming lmaoo

As someone who has been in the dendro domain since before Cyno's *first* banner farming for him (and Al-Haitham), swapping to talents and bosses is def the better (and less insanity inducing) option. And I'm a baby whale so that's months of max refreshing as well....
Enjoyed the episode. It also took me a bit to find the Aranara that sold the blueprint and when I did, I didn't have any of the trade things. As a major Layla enjoyer, I can't wait to see her more built. I think you have to complete the Sumeru quests and Albedo quest to start windblume. Otherwise talking to Katheryne there would have started the event. Looking forward to more 🎉

Please do a character review. You are a very casual player whose builds many people can relate to.
We all have seen Zyox,Zajef etc builds but those are just way too hypothetical and dedicated. You can also tell the aspects of ease of builds which are generally not considered.

That challenge solving and all the upgrades made was amazing!
The adventure handbook lists where you can obtain.. anything (except specialties). Under enemies.. lists all enemies and what they drop and navigates to them. I feel like so many people don't know this feature exists.
There is a limit to how many enemies of one kind it will show you which is why Java first went for the spots he knew off the top of his head.

Love the swords only content, especially the puzzle solving that becomes challenging without bows lol
one suggestion for u is to bring back the character specific episodes theyre fun to watch and u end up making a lot of progress
Seeing you make so much progress on your characters brought back my motivation to raise mine as well. I now have 34 fully built characters, 3 in-progress and 12 unbuilt. The only thing that's holding me back from raising them faster is the weekly boss drops because those 3 in-progress are all Sumeru characters. 💀
You have the right mindset Mr. TheCup it’s typically best to get guaranteed upgrades like levels, weapons, and talents before artifacts which are RNG.

Please please try to get all talents to 9 where necessary and just guaranteed upgrades in general as opposed to rug (artifacts )
Thank you for showing, not telling, the point of Ascend characters and Upgrade Talents. You are correct: artifacts can be a time sink of failure over time. You dont lose RNG on ascensions nor talents. I will now reprioritize Ley Line resin spending and get my characters to 81's (Yes i like 81.. 85 for EM based characters)
Never 90 so you don't ever stop getting xp and 81 so you can tell them apart from characters you need to ascend one more time

priority in resurce management should allways be Weapon, Talents (and with these level-up's), and then artifacts. There are some character where the order is different and those are all the characters who scale on transformative reactions, like anemo characters with the main purpose to swirl, hyperbloom and burgeon triggerer who want as much em as possible and leveled to 90 and Hp&def scalers who don't mind if their weapon isn't maxed

Since you're not using any other weapons than swords, you can covert the other 4 star weapons into the crystals!

@@jamin3131 you would unlock them first and then when you choose what to upgrade the weapon with you would choose the one you unlocked
Teams that can be used:
1. Freeze:Ayaka, Layla or kaeya(based on how much ER needed), Burst support ayato or xingqiu(Xingqiu with ayaka is a bit annoying), Kazuha.
2.Hyperbloom:Dendro Traveller,Kuki,Xingqiu,flex or Alhaitham.
3.Aggravate:Keqing,Dendro traveller,Kazuha,Kuki or another electro(I cant think of any other electro sword character).
4.Bloom:Nilou,Dendro traveller,Alhaitham,flex or kazuha for grouping the seeds and enemies.
These are the teams that I can mostly think of right now.
I don't mind rewatching the whole swords only at this point

Ask Qiqi for good luck on your artifact farming, you'll also be needing to close ur eyes this gave me good artifacts and less garbage. You can also act like Qiqi when she's using her burst and say "Life goes on." you have to put an Qiqi emotion on it. I used this and I just finished farming Qiqi's artifacts yesterday. (This also works in Strongbox.)

I haven't farmed artifacts in a year since I level all my characters/weapons/talents and dump the terrible gladiator/wanderer pieces into the strongbox and have no problems clearing anything but Max starring floor 12 of the abyss. It's fun being able to use pretty much anyone you want rather than just a handful of characters with meta artifacts (and I don't miss the disappointment of a week's worth of resin leading to no good artifacts).
That's what I decided to do when I hit ar 56 but I just decided to focus on 4 teams for my abyss but I'm soon ar57 and I'm still not done with farming talents, weapons and ascension mats 😮💨
I agree with you so much when it comes to artefacts. It's just nonefficient but you have to be careful. I am speaking from an experience. You may end up with a high AR and high world level that don't much the level of your characters because you are underpowered. My account now has so many characters I can't use because I don't have the artifacts for them.

15:13 this is so true. Like with artifact rolls, some day, everything rolls into crits , and someday(or most of the days) it rolls trash.

imo I'd build Nilou either for Freeze with Ayaka or for Hyperbloom with Al Haitham, but in those teams she won't have her passive so just use a support set and make her be a burst support (don't use tenacity of the millelith because it doesn't work with her ring), her hydro app is decent in a ring around her so it could be passable with a melee unit
farming talents is a great change, i'm also doing that in my (AR 60 and totally capable of clearing abyss however) account, i'm gonna triple crown nahida soon after procastinating on crowns and just use the resin on guaranteed upgrades now that there are no units that interest me and it's just building and getting guaranteed upgrades for the ones i already have
also the part of the dendro rings reminds me of why i started watching your content in the first place, congrats on that!

I'm a ground type player too and Ayato's skill can usually take care of those flying enemies. I use hyperbloom these days and they still do fine. The only time I actually use bows is on my brother's account, and Kokomi's clam bubble is basically melee anyway.
