I did! I also loved the book, I read all 668 pages in 2 days! So many guys simply don't "get" it sad because we need all the things you mention, in the cold dark reality of this world, to have hope light and faith!

Have you seen In Bruges? No wonder he won the Golden Globe for that! He accidently killed a 9 year old boy in the commission of a crime, the scene where he is in bed, thinking about what he has done,...a very tight close-up, just his face, and you actually see the tears down his face. Amazing...

I have read this book twice. Anyone who has read it once knows how hard it is to follow in some parts. But it was and still is worth it. What a joyous and sadly poetic movie. Can't wait to see it.

His memory started when he climbed out of the East river....so he is relating he has no memory of his past life....

It still doesn't make any sense. Then he'd say "I have never been able to remember anything before that moment" or something like that. What he's saying suggests that he has never been able to create memories, yet the can somehow remember how long it's been since he's become unable to remember anything.

Because he was living an immortal life, and eventhough he died falling off the bridge he got resurrected. So the demon said this time I want him to die with no divine intervention, and satan said then you have to fight fair and square to do that.

I just saw this movie on HBO and can't stop thinking about it. I cried like a baby as well and got chill-bumps whenever that magnificent horse was in a scene. I loved the way they so subtly revealed his wings and his special powers but then I'm a horse lover. I just found the whole movie to be an beautiful fantasy love story and would see it again.

I saw this movie on Valentine's Day and I have to say it's not what I expected at all. The simple love story between a dying woman and a common thief turned into angels and demons and to be honest, that plot line completely lost me. I would've much rather the movie included some street brawls than Russel Crow going ape as a demon, and the whole satan thing really didn't add to the story. I suppose it was necessary to get that whole time travel idea in there but they could've just let that boil down to a miracle of love. Overall I'd say the movie was half and half, the love story being the good part of the movie, the bad part being the light v dark/demon plot. If the movie had felt more like the trailer, in my opinion, it would have been a much better story, because this trailer does invoke emotion. The movie needed far more relationship development than was given to the characters and it felt like it was just rushing into the climax to the conflict between Crowe and Farrel, which didn't feel like it justified much because they didn't spend enough time on the love story part. If I just spoiled some parts for you, sorry, just a heads up about how different the movie is from the trailer.
Griffin Voth Akiva, wrote in the Angels & Demon were his addition,...he also left out all of Peter's life from childhood to age 35. Get the book and read it, to see what the marvelous novel contained. I read the 668 pages in 2 days! It was that enthralling!

***** I'll let that slide because you're in high school and because I don't have the time it would take to go into the terrible plot, terrible writing, terrible pacing, or terrible character development of this movie. And because I would have to watch it again to do it properly. But yes, they're all terrible.
Truth be told, I just watched this movie for the first time today, half-expecting it to live up to my expectations that it would be a mediocre movie. However, I soon found myself liking this movie. True, to describe the plot of this movie is any reviewer's worst nightmare, and it's actually not as confusing as it sounds on paper. All of the actors were stunning (including Will Smith), and some of the special effects were absolutely amazing. This movie even had me crying at the end, and it's now considered one of my favorite romance movies. I find that it's rather underrated, but if you want to find out what it's all about, go ahead! You may like it or hate it in the end, but then again, the same can be said for all movies.
I CRIED, dawn it was The Time traveler's Wife meets a bit of les Miss, with a background of Anna Karenina in there too. the casting was excellent, I loved Farrell, Findlay, and Crowe in the title roles. It will make you believe in hope and love if lost hope and feel lonely. The flying white horse is one of the more amazing special effects done in many movies. The music is beautiful as well, the historic settings are great.
That little film holds a special place in my heart, since it was the first film I watched with my girlfriend of 5 years.

Me and my wife want to see this so bad! Looks really good. Makes me think of my wife every time I watch the trailer. I love movies that evoke feelings of love and the resolve of the human spirit.
I love this movie. I just wish it was spaced out better. I felt like the events were a little rushed in order to fit the time crunch. I wanted to cry when beverly died, but I felt like there wasn't enough time for us as an audience to truly get to know her and fall in love with her. The idea of people becoming stars next to their love ones once its their time is very romantic.

The book is simply amazing, after reading it however I realized that the plot line was much too complex to make a movie without leaving out many key parts and characters. Peter Lake and Beverly are just two of the many many important characters in that novel. If you saw the movie and hated it, I suggest you read the book for a pleasant surprise. :)

It's funny how a song can bring you to a random movie trailer.. A few hours ago I never knew this book and soon to be movie ever existed and while listening to birdy I see the tittle of the movie in the comments section .. Very happy I came across it .. Running to the book store today
My fiancé told me to watch this that it was beautifully done with blending the sci fi into the other elements of the movie not over the top or anything. He has similar tastes on romance to mine especially in books so hopefully I can see this soon!

There was a period in my life where I would come across my paperback copy of this book and reread it. It's been a while since the last time, but I still remember loving the tale. I'll have to see if the telling is as good as the book. Definitely time to download and read Mark Helprin's novel again.

The fact that somebody actually watched this movie for Will Smith who is scenes a mere thee times in this beautifully cinematic fantasy love story that harkens back to the old Hollywood fantasy love stories such as A Portrait of Jennie where time and beliefs about it must be suspended for a bit to allow yourself the price of admission to this amazing journey is to miss the point of this beautifully crafted movie completely,If your not a romantic at heart this is not for you and you will no doubt pick it a part.If you actually get it and allow your self to be swept away in it's fantasy and love spanning time and tide life and death and our perceptions of destiny larger than we know ,you may very well leave this film feeling warmly inspired.

I don't want to be an ass cause I liked Sharknado, and The A-Team, so I certainly have no right to judge, but I hated this movie.
This actually looks pretty good. Speaking as a male, I don't like it when females say I can't handle romantic comedies. I adore them, but I hate watching them when they don't have a plot, have poor acting, and/or only revolve around a good-looking guy. If it's a good movie cinematically, I would love to watch it.

For those asking what this is about it's ostensibly
a love story but honestly the book upon which it is based is much, much more than that, it's hard to condense into just a sentence or two and even remotely do the book justice. It's one of the finest novels ever written.

Its a one off book , i dont even know if its a work of literary greatness or if it should be compared to other book. I do know however that it has a magic in the pages and if you are susceptible to its particular spell weaving its provably the most unusual entrancing book you will ever read .
