So weird that the byredo is sold out. On the eu website it is still available. I got mine at the beginnen of this week and it is absolutely gorgeous. So glad i picked it up.
I work in the cosmetics industry and we call Estée Lauder “Estee slaughter” because they ruin everything they buy 😭😂
LOL omg
Estée Lauder needs a revamp in eyeshadow and color in general. I worked for them years ago as an Education Executive and it was sure a different place in the 90’s. Nothing beats Advanced Night Repair-it’s still the best serum out in the market as far as I’m concerned and I’ve tried a lot. Hope they revamp and get with it again. Otherwise they are dust. Quit buying up other brands and fix what they have.
What an interesting career! I bet it was a great experience. I have used many bottles of the EL Advanced Night repair since the late 90's and Absolutely agree it's an amazing product! The EL Advanced Night Repair eye cream is quite good also. I remember walking into Macy's about 15 years ago on a lunch break and a sales associate asked if she could try the eye cream on me, lightly (over makeup). A few minutes later all my under-eye lines had melted away and I was in HEAVEN!!! I need to re-stock this product. ❤❤❤
Thanks for sharing your experience!
I really enjoyed your discussions about the economic climate of cosmetic brands and their future of sales. I find it fascinating please keep this feature in your content
Thank you for that feedback 🥰
I agree! Thank you!
Part of it is arrogance. When a company refuses to add a pump to their most successful foundation, when every drugstore brand does, what else can it be but arrogance. They seem to be refusing to change (arrogance).
👏 well said
Right. Don’t think so. That foundation has been number one for years. Buy the pump once that’s it. Ridiculous theory. Estée Lauder is competing with a lot more brands than years ago. In the 60s Estée Lauder was one in a tiny handful of other luxury brands
In a way, that is more eco-friendly. Yet I don’t think they market it like that. Like full product (with pump) and and refills, without pump. I agree that the way it is as today really looks like abusing client (on the arrogance that they have awesome - apparently, didn’t test) foundation and that people will buy it anyway, rather than to adapt follow clients wishes and maybe market as eco friendlier if the brand wanna take that turn (sorry for my bad English, commenting from 🇫🇷)
@@sosnow6194 Your English is great!!!
Its not that deep, its just greed
The decline of Tom Ford has been so depressing. They’ve discontinued SO many of the lipsticks without really replacing them with new ones. Even the brand website is a mess now, borderline unprofessional.
When Estee Lauder bought Frederic Malle the quality (silage, longevity, etc) decreased significantly.
Yup. I used to be able to smell Portrait of A Lady on my sweaters and hoodies for days after wearing it. Now it barely lasts half a day. Sigh.
Dior single shadow in Beige Mitzah is amazing. Its my fav one and done, I wear it every time when I’m doing a no make up makeup look and to work. They are so creamy and beautifully pigmented. The color is just bomb. If there is one color I recommend from the Dior single shadows, that’s the one.
How sparkly is beige mitzah? In pics, it looks very similar to UD Space Cowboy, which I ended up really not liking. Not much back pigment and what there was of it, is a warmer odd orange brown, it seems + the sparkles get all over my face. I don't even use this $24 shadow!
@@MtnSnowflake it’s definitely not like space cowboy. I don’t own space cowboy but I have swatched it in ulta before. Dior’s is a shiny satin (feels creamy to the touch), very chic and sophisticated. It’s akin to the top left shade in Dior soft cashmere quint but without the silver sparkles.
i agree. i love that single shadow. i wish they would make more single metallics like beige mitzah.
Thanks for the rec!
My fave shadow that I own (and I have a LOT)! Everyone I've recommended it to loves it. I even bought a backup in case they reformulated/ruined it.
I Love Alicia Archer! Thanks for giving her a shoutout. That Dior Pastel palette is already sold out. Dolce & Gabbana, I believe, made that fig powder before, but had that beautiful Italian tile pattern on the lid. In fact D&G ditched their amazing packaging for all of their new products. Their former packaging was stunning. So I'm disappointed. I love the Armani eye tints, so I may try a liquid blush from them. Not exciting, but possibly beautiful. They have done this sort of thing well in the past.
Lauder was an old lady brand when I was in my 20s. And I'm a lot older than you. Plus Lauder has ruined every brand they've bought. And some of those brands were my hero brands. If Lauder goes out of business they've earned it.
Well researched, Sofia. I have a biz background and just love this stuff.
FYI, Black Honey was viral over 20 years ago, then went underground for a while. Agreed that, if they're smart, they'll expand that line again. Re:The Ordinary, I ditched the multihundred dollar serums for the serums from The Ordinary. They are that good. And I tried everything! But Lauder's involvement explains the discontinuation of some of their best products.
As for the Lauder skin care line, they haven't reformulated it in years. Who wants that stuff? Their anti-aging doesn't work. If I want high end anti-aging products I buy Sisley, among others in that class. (I do still use a lot of Perricone MD. Acyl-Glutathione is a game changer. Everyone should make a product showcasing that ingredient. Want to see fine lines disappear in days?). I always have La Mer in my medicine chest. The Concentrate is so healing it even heals burns. I have used it that way and it's amazing. Plus the La Mer creams are aces for chapping and healing winter skin exposed to the elements. Don't like their makeup though.
Well you got Me going! I've been furious at Lauder for years for ruining brands I loved. Thanks for the video. And, if you read all of this, thanks for taking the time. Great job with your channel. I like the makeup business news. There isn't much of it on CZcams except for Jen. And Jen covers a lot of brands I don't care about. So please keep it coming. Happy Sunday!💚
Omg yes Deborah! So many good points. I wish D&G had kept that mosaic looking packaging. Black Honey indeed went viral the old school way back in the day!
The Byredo Mineralscapes palette is hands down, The best luxury beauty eyeshadow palette I have ever bought in my life. Is this a dramatic statement? Yes! But I am so happy, I have no regrets. And if this is something you're thinking about. I don't think you're gonna regret it either. I love it!
💯
Weeooo I can't wait to get mine!
I received mine yesterday & it’s stunning ! Promo pics don’t do justice ! It’s incredibly beautiful !
I ordered this one too. I have two of the others and I use them all the time. Formulation is stunning. I love singles and STILL these palettes are some of my favorites!
The Reminisce pallet over blended on me, so I'm wary.
I think the idea of luxury brands needing to find consumers where they want to shop is true. Those brands were so anchored to department store counters for so long, but malls have been struggling for a long time and those large department stores have been closing locations as mall traffic no longer sustains them. This means a lot of the larger department stores that carry a wide range of beauty are limited to major metropolitan areas now. I think people in search of a little treat for themselves, or advice about makeup, really want to be able to see things in person before they commit the money. Sure, Nordstrom will allow you to mail in a return for a bad foundation match, but how long will it take to find the right shade using mail? It takes the glamour out of the experience.
Ulta has really pushed into suburban shopping centers and is accessible in many more places vs Nordstrom, or even Macy's. Sephora has started to explore the standalone option as well, though I don't have insight on how that's going for them, I would imagine it's going well. Near me is a Sephora in a Trader Joe's parking lot. You can get yourself a little makeup treat after fighting the battle of a TJ's run.
I do think the Estee Lauder brand needs some updating, and I think they're capable of it but for some reason they're unwilling to take the leap. The tiger blush trio they released for Lunar New Year a few years ago was stunning. Their jeweled refillable compacts are also remarkable little treasures. But they need to revamp their core line to give it an upgraded feel and meet consumers where they are, as you said.
Thank you for these great points! I think that with more women working full time and being so busy as well, it's important to make shopping convenient and less like another errand. Which is why we see the target and kohl's models working so well
@@SofiaSeesBeautyI agree! And while the luxury department stores may be struggling, Target, Kohl’s and even Wal-Mart are technically department stores, they just have a different demographic. It’s really interesting to see how shopping habits morph over time.
It’s about time companies started making products that people with sensitive skin and/or allergies can potentially use. Good for them!😊
I have sensitive skin, AND I’m bougie!
Love that you have luxury beauty news segment!
I am so glad you are liking it!
When I think of Estee Lauder I think of it as a tried and true company which is still in operation. Many others have gone by the wayside such as Elizabeth Arden and Georgette Klinger. I really miss the old Georgette Klinger salon .... Estee Lauder was the first company to use vitamine C in their skincare. It's one I use which does not flair up my rosacia. Thank goodness they will continue with the Re Nutriv! And I still wear the purfume Youth Dew. Infact this year I will be building my perfume collection with the clasics.
Thank you for sharing!
I received my Byredo palette today and ohhhhh it’s even better in person! So excited to play with it!
I LOVE the deep dive into EL, you did a fantastic job with this! I also think of my grandmother when I think of Estée Lauder. I also get mad at the whole outlet mall Tom Ford stuff. What’s the point of spending the money for luxury beauty when it’s not luxury? LOL Black Honey was ALWAYS in my purse in my 20s. It really is their Pillow Talk! I miss the MAC of the late ‘90s, early aughts. They were the company that was always on the edge and it was so much fun. Now…meh.
Awesome video, I had a blast!! ❤
Thank you Tracy! and also I am excited you got the palette!
Love this discussion. I follow niche perfume brands and when they get bought by estee lauder, they slowly die. I wonder how L'Oréal is doing in comparison?
Absolutely loved this part of the video. Thank you for being so insightful and articulate ❤
I am so glad! Thanks for the feedback
The Byredo palette is outstanding!!! I will be buying a backup palette!!!❤❤
Very interesting Estee Lauder case study
Estée Lauder was an experience. Going to the makeup counter, getting advice, having them try products on you, etc. I wore the double wear etc for years. The stores where I purchased have closed as have the malls they were in. I have zero desire to go to the mall.
How I love these conversations! And I appreciate your business analysis very much! But first THAT pallette - when I first laid eyes on the Byredo palette, i gasped...it was THE ONE...i've restrained myself from grabbing the previous ones because they just weren't my color story, but THIS ONE? Gah, can't wait to get in my hands. Estee Lauder? I too grew up with all those endless gift sets my grandmother, aunt and mom would get on the holidays etc etc etc. As a teen I'd gotten Black Honey in the original pot. Later, my first "real" job was at Macy's and I bought myself the Clinique loose powder...the beginning...(then I upgraded to Chanel...lol) EL has NOT changed anything about their packaging, vibe...it screams yesteryear and i want nothing to do with it. They never really developed Clinique- at one point they had hired a young French model/actress to represent the brand and appeal to a younger generation but then they killed that idea before it released. Clinique too stayed the same and dullsville and we were supposed to believe it was "clean." HA. Prescriptives was ONE exciting moment in time and then it disappeared. EL not only bought TF cosmetics but the ENTIRE Tom Ford brand - the fashion line...a huge expense. It truly makes me sad how they killed MAC's vibrant vibe along with Smashbox's and Stila (I used to shop for Stila at Barney's NYC, it was a very fun boho Indie brand back in the day) They've embraced La Mer and that paid off, and at least they haven't dropped the ball on Bobbie Brown but yes yes yes, they've totally missed the boat on social media etc as you pointed out. Even when influencers praised that one foundation...lol Ah, that dependence on China....This should be interesting....
OMG you just took me down memory lane with Prescriptives! That was the first higher end mascara I bought/used in my late teens (I’m 49) and I loved it. I always wondered what ever happens to that brand. 🤔
Thank you for sharing!!
When I was a young adult (1980s) Estée Lauder was the bomb! It was affordable-ish and innovative. Theirs was the first colored mascara I ever tried, and they were also among the first to offer nail polish that wasn’t pink, red, or nude. As I got older, I moved on to other luxury brands that I liked better. I’m very sad to see the state the brand is in. Estee was an innovator, and I imagine she’d be heartbroken to see how the company she started has lost sight of her vision. She was about communicating with customers: Telephone, telegram, tell a woman! I hope they’ll look back on her principles and salvage the brand while there’s still time.
On a random note, I see that you’re on your balcony videoing. I love your style! As I watched this, I saw you talking with your hands while holding your phone. Because your phone was in the hand closer to the railing, I kept fearing you might lose your grip and your phone would tumble into the abyss. Just something to think about before you create the next balcony video (I do hope you’ll keep doing them when weather permits).
I grew up with 2 Macy's Department stores. Both had EL, Clinique, and Lancome Counters. As I headed into my early 20's I gravitated to makeup from EL, skincare from Lancome, and not as much Clinique. However there were still a few favorites. I loved the EL Double Wear & Double Wear light as well as Bronze Goddess, the EL blushes & lipsticks. I enjoyed more of the Lancome Mascara and Eyeshadow. Fast forward to age 47 and there are so many gorgeous formulas and options out there! Malls are on the decline and having a presence in Ulta or Sephora would definitely help!! Also the appeal towards a younger market with recognized spokespersons for the brand, youthful advertising, keeping up with new colors & trends would help enormously. They need new infusion if they want to raise sales, a rebranding to spark renewed interest!! ❤
Yes well said Sara
EL is sketchy at best. They lost me when they took EL formulations, slapped the TF name on them, and sold them at exorbitant prices. Did they not think consumers would look at the ingredients and compare? When EL bought Stila decades ago, they destroyed the brand's ingenuity, formulations, and market. Instead of acknowledging the mistake, they doubled down on La Mer, BB, and TF.
Stila used to be so much better 😩
EL strategy has always been, buy all of your competitors. Instead of innovating and creating new products under estee lauder and clinkque
That’s always been their strategy to destroy great brands.
the seafoam liner with brown eyes looks so stunning! i’m wearing it today and love it.
I love this série Sofia ! Very interesting and smart ! Did you talk about new V Beckham eyeshadows ? Did I understand well ? ….
Thank you! I haven't seen new eyeshadows but I did talk about the new liner!
I absolutely love that you include industry news in your Passs or Yasss videos. Good stuff! 👏🏻👏🏻 (And thank you for the support.😉)
Thank YOU! :)
Wonderful video. Great insights. Make up brands and options have increased exponentially since Sephora and the internet, it used to be Department stores and drugstores/big box stores only. Very thoughtful video. Ann
Yes! Thank you!
So on point with your commentary on EL. You really put all of the information about the company in perspective.
I would be interested in your review of ND’s new compact and the companion primer.
Get the ND highlight!! I want it but I am waiting to spend my coin. Love your content!
I'm wearing the Byredo today. I used about 5 shades, mostly from the right half and I love it so far. I've done a soft look with some shimmer on the inner half of the lid. I've experienced no fallout and just used a flat brush for the shimmer shade., which did the trick, no primer needed, but again, I went for a soft look and don't go for super blinged out looks.
Yay! Excited to get mine
Hope you rewiev the Dolce Blushes!!!!!😊🎉❤
I was actually into the estee lauder serum in my 20s. Partly bc i lived down the street from a saks. Now im in my 30s and more into prescription antiaging stuff. Rip the old tom ford quads. Loved cognac sable!!!
They tried with the estee edit in sephora for a while and i don’t know why that failed.
Thanks for sharing! Yes I remember Estee Edit! I didn't get a chance to talk about that in the video but it was an attempt to market to millennials
Girl don’t sleep on Dolce & Gabbana beauty I have a collection of the liquid lipsticks and they are excellent and comfortable. The colors are gorgeous. The highlighter and the powder is beautiful and looks gorgeous on the skin. I have one of their little quads in the purple colorway with the cheetah print packaging and the quality is really good. So I’m pleased to see them now in the US ❤
Thanks for the rec! I actually ended up getting a few things because I feel like there won't be a ton of reviews for people to learn more
I ended up buying the byredo palette from selfridge last night. I collect them. Can't wait!
Great work, thank you!
Glad you liked it!
WOW!! Great video Sofia. And you are absolutely right. Even we as consumers have noticed As for the new releases I will probably get a couple of the singles from Dior and Cle de Peau. Believe Chanel will release some singles. I try ordering the Dior quints using your link but they wouldn’t accept my international phone number??? So there you have it. As always I enjoy your videos a lot. Have a great day. 😊
Thank you Gloria!
So so interesting about Estee Lauder - thanks Sofia x
I began my makeup journey back in the 80s with Estee Lauder and it was always the flagship counter in every department store (along with Aramis for men) and then Clinique was the unperfumed brand that more sensitive skins could buy and enjoy, right? I remember those days so well. Nowadays though I'm into Lisa Eldridge, VBB, and Natasha Denona. I also love Byredo scents and eye shadows! Ooh I can't wait to see you review the minerals palette :)
My makeup drawer was filled with Estee Lauder last century, but now I just buy their Swiss Cream (which is still lovely!) - though I do try the odd item from time to time.
Be interesting to see what they do going forward though... I kind of hope they turn it around :)
Thank you for sharing! You named some good brands there that have filled the gap for many of us
Loving this series, Sofia! ❤
I just received the Byredo Mineralscapes (my first Byredo palette) and it is absolutely stunning! You’re going to love it! Can’t wait to see your review and the creative looks you come up with! ☺️
I got mine as well ! It’s absolutely beautiful ❤ enjoy your palette 😊
@@J_loves_lu It is truly one of the most beautiful palettes I have! Looking forward to playing with it. Hope you enjoy yours as well! ☺️
@@stacibee224 thank you ! 😍🥰
Yay I can't wait! And thank you Staci!
I already purchased the Natasha powder and didn't like it at all and returned it. For me it was just a sparkly highlighter. As far as Bobbi Brown, I have been loving BB since launch in the 90's and honestly, I do not notice any huge change or decline in product quality since the buy out. Other then taking the lavender out of their skin care (which I miss terribly) I still love the brand.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on that!
I really enjoy this format of co tent. Very informative ❤
So glad!
Now I LOVE Estée Lauder and worked for them while in college. I still use Advanced Night Repair most days and have used since my college days. I remember when Estée Lauder tried to reach younger markets and had a campaign with younger Jenner who is a model,(can’t recall her name) and that was it. I agree with their reliance on the Asian market and their challenges with reaching the younger markets, which has always been an issue for them even when I worked there in college. They have longed catered to an older demographic, which remains a problem since many of folks don’t want to see the brand change. Sadly, Estée Lauder has always purchased other brands like Clinique, Bobbi Brown, Mac, etc BUT they didn’t ruin those brands like they seem to do now. The mergers seemed to be opportunities to improve their Estée Lauder brand by the new technology from their newly acquired brands.
Great insight into the future of Estée Lauder! ❤❤❤
Absolutely loved your case study and analysis on the fall of Estée Lauder. Super interesting to spark discussion and get some context on the market in general.
I think beyond distribution and social media, their product innovation is lacking. They don’t seem like they have a culture where they’re constantly striving for the next breakthrough, because they’re relying on repeat purchases of their hero products. Hopefully we’ll see some slightly more exciting and high quality products from them.
Thank you so much for your feedback and sharing your thoughts as well! :)
Hi Sophia, Jersey girl here 😍 Your Estee Lauder analysis was terrific. Here’s how out of touch they are, or even as others commented, arrogant and greedy. Lauder currently has a GWP at Nordstrom with a $75 purchase. All other brands still hover around $39.50 range for a gwp. That’s not the way to expand your business!
WOW! Great research, thanks for sharing. I use the estee lauder night repair drops. They are fantastic with the moisturizer at night and my skin looks refresh in the morning. I hope they never change the formula.
Thanks for sharing!
Loved this informative video. Thank you
So glad!
The name Estée Lauder? It is an iconic brand, but as you mentioned it is now a conglomerate. The company has hit a rough spot and hopefully will give creative liberty back to the individual brands in 2024! And while I love the company store, it is very “hit or miss”, and mostly miss!! While, I know you mentioned ELF and Coty? Kinda of an unfair comparison as those are budget brands that you can purchase at the drugstore and big box stores! During the pandemic, I often bought makeup while in the drugstore, and I am not really a drugstore type (usually only mascara)!! I actually really enjoy the Estée Lauder lipsticks!! I really only do well with Chanel and Estée Lauder on my lips!! Oh, and the Estée Lauder advanced night repair is always in my rotation. Tom Ford, while always one of my favorite brands? Kinda of a miss for me lately!! Great video, I have a business degree so I as well always take a deep dive into the nerdy business end!
I also like the EL lipsticks! I have 2 in rotation currently!
That is true! Those brands are doing a good job reaching their customers and there is a way the EL can do the same for the luxury customer. Thanks for sharing your insights!
I also like EL lipsticks( very much)!!! Now I have 4!🤫
I LOVE a Sea Foam!!! Thanks for showing, so exciting! Love VB Beauty!!! xoxo
Me too!
Excellent ❤
I watched the same Alicia Archer video and she showed a clip of Natasha Denona mixing her Hy-gen priming serum into the powder to make it more of a balm :)
My Byredo Mineralscapes came yesterday. (I was lucky enough to get the palette the 10 minutes it was initially on the Byredo site.) Remembrance was my most used palette of 2023. Mineralscapes is beautiful. It is a very calm sort of color story. Zero regrets!!!
My RMS bronzer in the second shade Malibu Muse. It is golden on me not orange. I LOVE LOVE it!! 😍
I’m really excited to see what the D&G makeup is all about. I remember someone saying the face powder was great (maybe , All Feisty Jen?)but I am waiting for the reviews with great interest!
Yes I’m thinking of trying the D&G beauty! I finally grabbed the mineralscapes palette from selfridges this week
I bought the D&G powder on Alfeisty’s recommendation at Herrods this winter and it’s really beautiful. The packaging is gorgeous too.
Great video!! So interesting to see all of that and yes! Estee lauder totally reminds me of my grandmother lol love this series!
Thank you for the feedback Michelle!
My grandma only used all things Clinique and she had a huge cupboard full of samples of kinds. I used the whole skincare system and makeup until my 30's
I still in my late 40's use some of the skincare, however I have not bought makeup from them in ages.
I haven’t paid much attention to how the Natasha Denona highlighter is being advertised, but I did see another creator add a few drops of the primer from the same line directly to the highlighter pan, swirl a brush in to mix it, and use it in the way you described. She said she got the idea from some of Natasha’s demos. I’m really tempted by the Byredo palette but at the same time feeling like I just have so much eyeshadow at this point. I feel the same way about blush-especially when it comes to the Armani liquid. Rare beauty really hit the mark and got me to finally try their version when they released the mini. I can’t remember the last time I finished a makeup product and I’m planning to change that by trying to be more mindful of what products I already have that serve the same exact purpose. Being able to try new things in smaller sizes would be a trend I would be all over! Finally-very interesting about the Estée Lauder company!
Thanks Karen!
Interesting video, Sofia, thank you!!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩Estee Lauder needs to bring back, not close to certain products that disappeared, but the products! Like Cocoa Mirage eyeshadow quad to start with, the real deal, the formula, they might need to talk to Mr. Tom Ford about it but they have to! I'm not gonna purchase a Cocoa Mirage 2.0 quad that is not exactly the same as the first one, simple. Further, Tom Ford is hit or miss now, but i do still like some products from the brand, especially the Terra bronzer, which is also less pigmented, i heard from Jennifer from Allfeisty than before but still a beautiful bronzer! Also their blushes! I also still love their illuminators, subtle and elegant. Their eyeshadow quads, hit or miss and lots of repetition nowadays. Clinique skincare, good, used many years, until i discovered that Chantecaille is a lot better, i'm 53 now. However, i really miss their Comfort on Calll moisturizer, why they stopped that, i really do not understand. Most of all i hope not to many people loose their jobs, Sofia, that is most important, it's always about people! Thanks for sharing, have a wonderful day!!!😘😘😘😘
New subscriber - I periodically change out which channel I subscribe to, as I really don’t have much time for social media and like to have a beauty channel or two to watch from time to time! 🙂
OMG I’m sooo glad to have found your channel. You have such an exquisite taste 😊
Thanks so much! 😊 Welcome!
I ordered the Byredo palette. Totally worth the money.
Ooohhh please do some looks with the Byredo pallet! I just ordered it 😊
Hi Sofia, thank you very good information. Your this makeup is very nice, can you please do a video thanks
Great video Sofia love the EL brand highlight/case study! I think a large part of the brand decline is because they haven't had anything particularly exciting or innovative in a very long time and the brands they take over unfortunately typically go downhill... combined with the sales at the company stores, this doesn't give the brand a positive image imo.
Not Fit For Print Beauty (Rebecca) has a review up on the D&G Skin Tint. She got hers at Saks but it’s not there anymore. It does have more coverage (she compared to Lisa Eldridge tint) and looked nice on her.
Thanks!!
Would love to see your review on ND new product!! Not sure exactly what it is and how to use that one 😅😁
which shades of the RMS bronzers did you swatch, because i don’t see the link for the video. i’m soooo happy that D&G brought the devotion highlighter back, because i’ve wanted it for so long, and if ANYONE reading this has tried it and has thoughts, please share away. i’ve always loved the dior mono shadows and 06 and 45 definitely have my attention, and so do their upcoming eyeliners, because i’ve heard nothing but great reviews on them. oooh, that sea-foam liner from VB is gorgeous!!! is it limited edition??? i tried to get my shade of the ND highlighter, but it sold out right away, and i would love to hear your review on it. i have a mini of nars o-gasm, and i really want to try the shade edge, behave, and sex appeal. i’ve seen reallllly mixed reviews of armani’s bronzer, and i need to watch more reviews on it, but i’m definitely passing on the liquid blushes. estée lauder and clinique just don’t interest me. i truly hope rare beauty doesn’t sell her brand to estée lauder,
because they need to get their 💩 together!!! i prefer l’oréal products tbh. i own plenty of elf’s products and i love them!!! the ordinary is a great brand as well. anytime i go to a CCS and estée lauder products are everywhere, and i’ve never purchased anything from them in their store. i do think many companies will be faded away. i’ve been a patient of mount sinai more times than i can count, and i can tell you that the hospital is swimming in money, so they need to work with influencers and social media if it’s going to work well. you just made me remember how badly i wanted the la mer lip oil. i love ulta and sephora, and i wish le labo was in sephora!!! estée definitely ruined bobbi brown!!! 💜💜💜
It's one of my most recent videos!
@@SofiaSeesBeauty i found it!!! 🥰🥰🥰
Thanks for the business side of beauty.
I was able to order the Byredo palette on Selfridge's website.
Love your insights. Give your plants some love though Girl they dry
Hahaha I will tell my boyfriend! Those are his plant babies
Love these business chats- so interesting and informative!!
I purchased Tom Ford Rose Topaz quad for 59.99 on Costco online. They also sell La Mer and Tom Ford fragrances- not sure if many people know about this!! The selection is sparse but every now and then you find a gem 💎
I am so glad!
Dolce & Gabbana I around Dior prices. Looks gorgeous...I am very excited about it. 💎
I used to work for Clinique and I LOVE their skin care. But, Clinique is WAY behind the time on the makeup trends. I do love them but, there is so much great makeup out now.
Yes I think the skincare is great but the makeup is the same as when I was 15
I hopped on the Byredo link you have. Sold out again. So pretty. I love the last one so much. Xo 💖💄👄✨
Nooooo. I will keep a lookout
I have two Dior single shadows, and they are amazing one and done shadows ! I hope the reformation doesn’t ruin it 🥴And I love the in-depth discussion/case study of cosmic brands like this! Please do more in the future ❤
Good to know!
I’m so happy NARS did the Talc free blushes!!! I also got 920 🤣🤣🤣 also love Behave it looked different from what I’ve seen online and I’m glad I bought SIN bc it’s no more 😕
Sin is my favorite, sad they didn’t remake this one
I bought the Byredo palette on the Fude Japan site. I got it in 2 days and it is stunning!! I love it and have no regrets at all.
Yay!
I very much enjoyed this deep dive. I admit I love The Ordinary's newer products... they've transformed my oily acne prone skin - so I hope EL don't totally destroy that. ❤
This is my favorite of the three Byredo palettes in this format that they have released. It arrived yesterday (REALLY fast shipping from Byredo). I love that it is more cool toned.
Very excited! Mine arrives tomorrow (from Selfridges).
It’s really such a stunning palette ❤ irl it looks even better ! I received mine super fast too ! Enjoy it !
Yes! This one spoke to me whereas the others didn't
You’re a fellow Texan? I had no idea but now I like you extra! And I am so excited about the Byredo palette. That is my kinda color story.
Yes! I just moved to Dallas in January 😁
This financial market analyst was very illuminating! ❤ It!
great business analysis!
Thanks!
I like Clinique❤. Smart repair neck cream is excellent
I used up a Nars blush Zen and it was one of my all time favorites and they discontinued it and Madly. My Nars Madly has huge pan in it, I will not be buying anymore Nars blushes, so pissed they discontinued the shades I love. Samething happened with Mac Warm Soul, they changed it, and I still have the old one andbit still is beautiful.
Dolce Gabbana is very reasonable priced, totally in line with every other brand in the same vein. Their liquid lipsticks have been around in Europe for a while and one of the best, hands down. Will for sure get their Lil Oil once I finished the insanely priced La Mer which I got with a great discount. DG is also relaunching their blushes and bronzers. Worth trying these.
Also worth noting that Dolce Gabbana Beauty partnered with Shiseido in the past and now that they become independent, they relaunch peu à peu their entire line. They had one of the best foundations in the beauty industry: the Glorious Skin Creamy foundation. Will definitely try their skin tint at some point. Would be interesting to look a bit closer into this brand as well. Thanks.
Thanks for the rec! Yes I heard that they took their whole line in-house
I’m very interested in the Armani liquid blushes. I still like the original Nars ones (not the new ones).
Estee Lauder is fantastic quality & they give great gifts. Think it is just considered more old fashioned to younger people, but the quality is there.
Some of the brands have decreased in quality unfortunately :( A lot of the skincare is great but they haven't been able to keep the company successful with sales of those older products to an older demographic unfortunately
Where did you find the info on Armani new blush tint that is coming soon? I want to read up on those but cant find any links etc. Please can you refer me? Thanks
You can find the links to the instagram news accounts in the description box. Those are the accounts where I get most of the new product information :)
The natasha denona hygen skin beautifier highlighter thing (whatever the name is, I have it) is not a regular powder at all. It has a very creamy texture to it and it adheres amazingly well to the skin. It is actually the best inner corner highlight for eyes I have ever used, because it will instantly stick there perfectly with a lot of payoff and normally eyeshadow in that spot is just not doing it for me. It definitely has a different finish than regular powders too. I have been using it for like 2 weeks at this point because I got loyalty access to ordering it and I really like it. I am planning to order another shade for summer, it is that good.
Yay thanks for your review! I am interested in trying it
The Natasha powder is supposed to be used with the hygen serum if your wanting to put all over, I’ve seen a couple ads showing it
Oh this Estee Lauder update so explains the downfall of the Tom Ford counter at one of Helsinki's largest department stores, Stockmann. The counter is messy, dusty, lacking in product, dull, and not at all as luxury as it used to be. Bummer. :(
Bummer :(((
I love it when you film with this backdrop.
This was super interesting
So glad you thought so!
You’re not alone, I still have my Nars Orgasm blush from 2007. Gummy packaging and all.
😂me too and still just as pretty
Haha yesss 😂😂
I love that how much time you've given to the Estee Lauder companies and their current status. It's such a fascinating part of the beauty industry.
Thank you 🙂 takes quite a bit of research! 😅
I would love to see Byredo palette
ND is adding her Hygen primer drops on to the powder in the pan and thats why it looks that way .
I love it. I added the serum to it and I like the finish better.
@@tawnycannata603 good too know thank you for the info, so I guess when I decide to try it I need to add both items to cart because I haven't tried her primer yet either.
@@heathersargent289 I definitely recommended. I didn’t have the primer either so I ran out to get it. It’s actually really nice and I can use it separately from the compact if I like it is a stunning product. I hope you like it.
Yeah but in her demos she does it without the drops and it looks the same to me lol
Love Dior Coral Flame- I ordered a backup since it’s limited- super elegant and glam for summer. Excited to see the Dolce- would love to see the review. Love the natasha hy glo - I use it with her serum its so elegant no glitter
Good to know!
Where can you buy the byredo eyeshadow?😊
On the Byredo site and at Selfidges so far :)
Nars blushes are silkier than the silk itself❤
Excellent video! I agree Estée Lauder is a grandma brand and I’m a grandma! I love Rare Beauty and Haus Labs.
Thanks for sharing!!
In the 90's estee Lauder had a gorgeous blush..that I loved and my friends too...they stopped it pretty fast😢
I hate when brand discontinue something gorgeous..if I knew i would stock up😊
I have never been tempted by Byredo cosmetics until now. I tried to resist but caved and bought the Mineralscapes Eyeshadow Palette. It's GORGEOUS!
