As a goodbye to all of his beloved nest watchers, E9 asked me to share this video he made of some of his fun times.
He wants you all to know that he had the time of his life here!! And he hopes you all did too!
He doesn't want you to be sad. He's a big boy now, and so grateful to all of you guardian angels who watched over him as he grew and learned. He's carrying your love with him, and promises to be careful and smart in his journey. Real tight wing hugs and pecks from E9. He loves you all. Enjoy. (He included a special mention for wskrsnwings)

We will never forget E9 He was the apple of our eye and did the cutest things especially going from the veranda to the attic and then his walk on the rode. I think that was E9 that came back to visit just to let us know he is ok. I hope he has his own little eaglets and a wonderful partner like Harriett. 🦅

I wanted the video to be lighthearted, because everyone was so sad, but I have to admit that acknowledging Vicki at the end was emotional for me, as well! I admire her so much!
Thank you so much! E9's personality is captured beautifully! He is a blessing and I wish him the best of all that nature has awaiting him. Maybe we will see him again one day and simply marvel at his beauty, not knowing he is our own E9.

Wonderful memories. You did a splendid job catching his personality. I loved his strut on the driveway, and his one foot in the air on the limb - all of it. Loved all of it. We all love Vicki for adding her voice and insight to E9's journey. Remember the fledge! Thanks for this terrific memorial:)

Kathleen I just watched your video for the first time and I can't help the tears. You did a superb job that deserves an award. Thank you so much. I'm sorry I missed it a year ago but now it brought back beautiful memories of my favorite eglet. He was my first eglet to watch with all his antics that made me laugh a lot in a time when I really needed. I surely miss the Niner and I hope he's having a wonderful life, making good friends, and always have a full crop. He certainly imprinted his mark on all of us. May God always protect this blessed eagle.

Praying for his safety through life and many great adventures with a mate of his own and family Oh how I wish it was possible to watch his life! I have never watched a cam before and I have followed E9 from hatching My heart is sad, this made me cry like a baby but I know nature leads! Thank you for this I miss him so much already So sad
This is my 2nd season watching the eagle cam. It does get easier as you learn more, and you never stop learning, I'm still learning eagle facts all the time. But no matter how many facts you know, and everybody telling you to "trust the eagles" , you still get attached and there are always tears!

I just saw this video, thank you Kathleen. It brought back wonderful memories of my favorite eaglet. E9 will always be in my heart because of watching the nest since hatching and following all his adventures kept me sane in a very difficult time in my life. It was also my first time watching eagles nests and I'm hooked all because of the Niner.

Thank you for this most beautiful tribute for my favorite eaglet. E9 will always be first in my heart. Seeing the two this year has made me realize how much E9 missed by not having a sibling. Shedding tears of joy for E9 that he got to go on his Big Adventure, and tears for me that he's gone and I'll never know what a magnificent eagle he became.

This parting stuff is the hardest and listening and reading everyone's comments I really thought would help but it is very hard to say good by to this little one. Who knew eagles could be addicting, right? I only watch the SWFEC nest. The nests are too emotional for me, so one is enough. In the downtime I watch a kitten cam... it's much gentler than the life of an eagle! ... haha

I do too! I just know that little character is doing a fine job of maturing into a majestic adult eagle. It was a pleasure seeing him get his start in life.

Oh my gosh, an eagle walking is the cutest, silliest thing ever! I like to believe E9 is having a wonderful eagle life, wherever he is. He was so smart and skilled, I just know he is doing well.
