Yeah don't sign up for this app. It's basically turned into Twitter but how it was in the early 2010's. Twitter users have migrated to the platform to get away from Elon and. You have people already starting drama. Even worse, people will petty and block and hide your comments if you try to respond to them or they'll comment under your post and block you. Literally just took their old mentality with them. Literally the Tumblr migration all over again when people migrated from Tumblr to Twitter and made the platform toxic.
Once you've created a Threads account, the only way to delete is to also delete your Instagram account. Some serious concerns regarding privacy have already been brought up.
If Threads has to be used within Instagram it’s not an app but a feature. I think it’s intended to keep people on Instagram which is not what I want for myself. I would like to hear more of a critique not just complete acceptance of the feature.

I am using it and I like it but, I don't like the fact that if you want to get rid of Threads you have to get rid of Instagram and completely start all over again with a new account Instagram. Very nice and detailed video.
I wasn't going to waste my time with it, but I am glad to read what you said about loosing Instagram if you delete threads. That is a real concern if you use instagram for business. You could literally loose everything you spent hundreds of hours creating for your business. Very disapointing.

🔴PLEASE NOTICE🔴 I downloaded this app few days ago and since that my DM on instagram isn't working. All my chats are disappeared. I can send a message to someone, but when someone wants to send me a message I can't get it. Meanwhile my other accounts don't have any problem with it. I don't know is it a coincidence or not, but it's already 3-4 days that my direct isn't working. If anyone knows how to fix this problem, please tell me😭 P.s. I tried many things to fix this problem ( I rebooted my phone, deleted and installed instagram, logged out and then logged in my account, I even wrote a report to instagram) but nothing has changed.
I hate Instagram so won't be using Threads. Forcing the use of Instagram is crazy. Doesn't look like worth joining, its just another version of Facebook with the same censorship. If you even use certain words on Facebook you get a warning that some users might be offended. My favorite political cartoonist was blocked on Threads from even posting one of his hard hitting cartoons. FB is right wing leaning, and yes they steal your information and sell it to bad actors. These big corporations do NOT care about US, they are literal dictatorships and dangerous to put your business on, because you can build up a following for years and they will dump your account for the most ridiculous small things. I lost my biz account there couple years ago for just "liking" an anti-Trump cartoon. People on Facebook are so scared of posting anything about current events, nobody has any serious conversations there anymore. I'm sure Threads will attract people who want to talk about mindless things, its all part of dumbing down Humanity.

Technologically, Twitter-like apps aren't rocket science. An experienced developer can hack around a prototype in a few weekends. What advantage Threads has is Meta's huge infrastructure to support billions of users and quick import from Instagram.

After signing up, when I open the app threads then there is a glitch type of thing that happens like pages overlap each other like some sort of bug. Other apps are working fine even Instagram is working fine, after minimizing it when I reopen the app again the same issue happened. Somehow I logged out my account but after installing it again I had the same problem. Now I don’t know whether this is happening only with me or there is someone else who has faced this same issue.

Besides the big difference in censorship (for as long as it lasts), I reach/find a whole other audience there. According to other CZcamsr that tried it too has exactly the same censorship in its policy like Facebook and Instagram. So people if you are (not) happy with the censorship that have Facebook and Instagram you will love it.
Im always confuse how these platforms are built without ads, that provide retail information and tech and specialty information, how the don’t have Store/shop and don’t sell magazines like the reader tablets. Most will not have a reader tablet nor app. It’s not really a niche but yah yah have to search a lot to find magazines.
