  • The Super Soco CUx Ducati Edition is a 50cc equivalent electric scooter , officerly licenced to Ducati if you pick that option. I will be honest when I requested this bike it was just because of the Ducati thing but over the 10 days or so I had it I kinda fell in love with it!

    Its mad that this is cheaper than most electric pushbikes and less likely to be robbed

    I bought used electric scooter 50cc equivalent without batteries and put sabvoton 72150 controller on it with lifepo4 battery and now it flies up hills at 40 mph lol. I think it is unfortunate that electric 50cc equivalent bikes have such a low power output when nominal can be 4kw and peak much more at least here in Europe.

    I bought a TC earlier this year (rather than a TC Max because I only have an AM licence) and like the CUx, it's great when it's used as intended - local zipping about rather than killing my MX-5 with short runs which never get it up to temperature. I'm kind of addicted now. I'm thinking of getting my bike licence and upgrading to a Max when the warranty runs out.

    What a fantastic little scooter, I recently got myself a Suzuki Address 110 scooter and I did not think that motoring could get any cheaper,but yet again Spicy you have proved me wrong 👍

      @Scrotum Octopus sorry I didn't understand your question, it will easily do eight miles each way, I taken my scooter on 100 mile + trips on several occasions and it Has no problems doing this. I hope this helps.

      @Scrotum Octopus unfortunatly we have got the same problem everywhere in this country, the little Shi*** were thieving catalytic converters not so long ago.the government need to put harsher punishments in place rather than the slap on the wrist that they currently get, name and shame them as well as making them pay back all coats to the victim would be a good start 👍

    Great review and the future. Virtually free to run £1/100 mile or solar. Average Uk journey is 8.4 miles, and 75% of all travel is urban, so very adequate.

    Makes sense to riders that live in places like you. But that battery price is hard the cost of the bike.
    I can see thieves stealing the batteries in the future.
    As the price is high and people would like a second battery at home

  • @jamesthenakedsnake7480

    Re the "U Turn feature" would you actually be able to fail the mod 1 part of a test if you could do that on a bike you could do your test on, say an A1 test or something, even if you got off the bike to do it?

    • @spicy110
      @spicy110  Před 3 lety

      If i understand your question, yes if you could not do a turn in the road without putting a foot down you fail. defo not allowed to get off.

    • @jamesthenakedsnake7480
      @jamesthenakedsnake7480 Před 3 lety +1

      @@spicy110 no, it's not the turn in the road. Back when I did my test there was the one when you had to manually manoeuvre the bike, I'm not sure if it's still part of the test or not, but if you could manually handle it more similarly to a push bike, or almost carry the front end to do it or something, I don't know if that would be a failure or not?

    Dangerous in my opinion, scooters are vulnerable enough as it is and an electric one will be nearly invisible if you can't hear it.
