I am 95% sure that this is shot in Bergen, their home town.
I am going to Bergenfest 15 to 17 june, Sondre preform 15, and Aurora the next day... so I HOPE that Aurora will join Sondre at his concert!
    I can't wait !!!!! :-)

It is on the rooftop of the building (In Bergen) where Aurora did Warrior for 2 fans in the Haik documentary. It is a former slaughterhouse that has been turned into a music production hub for a part of the local music community. Lots of studios and activities take place in a charming and suitably rugged environment

    Sondre said:
"This song is perhaps the most patient of all the Patience-songs I juggled during the recording of the album.
But the song felt so overwhelming and heavy that I never managed to record it.
I had also always heard another voice sing it inside me, and suddenly AURORA's voice began to appear in
my head when I was out jogging. Her own "Exist For Love" is one of my favorite songs this year, and I felt a vague
    kinship between these two songs.
I told her about the text, and topics such as lust, love and dementia. What the body and heart remember when memory
slowly pulverized. And he who remains and mourns and can not forget. It seems that most people have experience
with dementia in close family in our time.
Two weeks ago I asked AURORA if she would sing "Alone In The Night" with me and she immediately said yes.
A week ago we recorded it. AURORA lifts the song far beyond my most hopeful hopes. She holds one
absolutely exceptional musicality, a precision and a presence that really touches me."

This really made my day. Had not heard about the song, so a couple of seconds into your reaction I stopped and watched the original video, before going back to you. And I'm gonna listen to it more. They are both from Bergen and it's shot there. Sondre Lerche is an amazing singer songwriter, now based in California after living i New York for quite a few years. Well, amazing is an understatement. He is incredibly musically talented and operating in many genres.

I like this song. So beautifully relaxing. The video has also become beautiful. Kind of a documentary or making of and so natural. Something like this should happen more often.
This could really be or become a moviescore.

So sad..Sondre composed it with dementia on his mine...isn't it so poetic? And with the soothing voice of Aurora it makes it more melancholic...Much admiration to these empathic artists.Thank you,Sir,for your reaction...

Try watching the movie 'The Notebook' and not think of how perfectly this song matches the story.

I believe I read somewhere that this is a song Sondre wrote about alzheimers, forgotten love. That's the reason it fades to black in the end I guess.

beautiful, romantic, sad and touching. Alzheimer is terrible (that's what it is about)

Listening threw me back to about 1990, reminiscent of Angelo Badalamenti, and his collaborations with Chris Isaak, Julee Cruise, film and TV scores too, David Lynch, et.al., though I must admit, all that circa 1990’ish was surely a throwback to the earlier decades your listening to this took you back to;)

Too bad movies that would fit this song are rarely made anymore.
