Man, I stumbled upon this game watching my cousin play it on his Laptop back in early 2014. Bought it for my 360 the summer of, and I no-lifed it for MONTHS. Many playthroughs, lots of trial and error, killing and discovering. Almost 10 years have passed, and here I am still playing it and loving it the same way I did back when. My absolute most favorite game of all time, hands down.
Ive played this game since i was 12 years old in 2012 and it was me and my cousin’s favorite game wed play it and i would show him new stuff like unique weapons or armor and sadly hes passed away and my brother who loved fallout as well im still playing all the fallout games to this day currently on a new vegas run again

This song always takes me back to 2011-12. I was deep into New Vegas at the time I started dating someone, and after a rocky couple years together we finally split. Playing New Vegas wasn't the same for a long while after that, and this song in particular was like a stake to the heart because she would sing along to it while sitting and watching me play. She was a fuckin nightmare tho and I ended up realizing that it was a toxic relationship and I was way better off without her. But this song still occasionally makes me smile at the rare good times we had together.

I shared FNV with a longtime partner, and this was our second favorite song together after "In the Shadow of the Valley". We would joke about playing it as a first dance at our wedding, despite its sad lyrics. Ironically, it became too on the nose as she would later cheat on me and leave me for my "best friend". It used to be difficult to listen to again, feeling so darn bitter about how it all fell apart, but after putting my life back together, the sweetness comes back. The melody is so much stronger than (or maybe in spite of) the memories.
