God, this trailer makes you realize just how bad the original trio had it. They were all pawns of the greatest chess master ever, and two of them were used as vessels for evil. Meanwhile, the one who WASN'T used for evil didn't fit into Xehanort's plan so he did his best to get rid of her and nearly succeeded. Now she's stuck in the Realm of Darkness, or has been, for like ten years and is waiting for a way to wake up one of her best friends and free the other... Very tragic.
and in the trailer of kh3 in Disney's Frozen's World, Aqua is there....as new member of the Organization...so Terra's body and Heart are captured by Young Xehanort/Xemnas/Terranort, Ventus is in a coma in Oblivion Castle, Aqua after 10 years in the Realm Of Darkness, after a lot of hallucinations she went crazy/devoured by Xehanort's darkness and now she is like Terra/Braig at the end of Birth By Sleep, meanwhile Terra's mind is in his armor on the Keyblade's Graveyard as secret final boss of KH2 Final Mix+, and literally is like Alphonse Elric in Fullmetal Alchemist: just a soul in a empty armor.

Can we all appreciate the reactions to the ray of light before Mickey showed up? Like, Terranort and Vanitas cover their eyes and cower because they're beings of darkness and hate the light, while Aqua looks up to it because she's a being of light and embraces it. I love little details like that.

Something just popped into my head just now. When Sora's hand reaches into the water/darkness and the shot pans up from the ocean making the splash. I flashed back to the VERY first KH3 trailer and I could be wrong, but remember when Sora was on Destiny Islands and found Eraqus/Aqua's keyblade washed up on the shore of the beach and he looks out into the ocean as if something were there? See where I'm going with this?

this video was posted the day before my best friend died, and a few days before that (last time i saw him) i was at his house watching him play kingdom hearts 2.5 for ps3 and he was at the part where roxas summer vacation is over and sora awakens and meets donald and goofy... i was excited to show him this video later that day but i was busy with college homeworks and the day after he had a car accident... i see this trailer and i can remember the happy memories i have with him :) makes me feel calmed even though i'll never see him again in this life

Aquas story is so beautiful and tragic, this cinematic captures that so well. The only ppl we know in her life have had "something bad happen" to them meanwhile Aqua trying to protect them (bubble shields) falls and is trapped in the Dark realm, alone for years. (Until Sora rescues her?)

Kingdom Hearts 2 was my favorite opening growing up but dang is this one just great then that one. Along with the new beat and remix of this song along with new added visuals and everything is just breath taking seeing the short story in the opening actually made me tear up (which I don't do often) cause of how you can just visually see the pain they feel. Truly beautiful 👍💞

I find it's interesting that there's almost no emphasis on complex backgrounds
in this short film and it stays engaging the whole way through. It's truly focused on
the characters and using movement and really tight keyframes to really sell every shot.
