- Hello CZcams, today's video is about iPad Mini 5 (A2133) screen replacement. Unfortunately, Apple made it really hard to fix. it is hard to replace only the digitizer like the older ones because the digitizer is glued on LCD screen now. It is not totally impossible, but it is much more easier to replace the whole LCD and digitizer assembly. Of course they are expensive, but here is an easy repair video for the people who try to fix their broken iPad Mini 5 screen!
Great video and my repair came out perfect. Ty for posting this!!! The only misinformation about the video deals with the wake/sleep sensor. The video explains that the aftermarket screens don't come with a pre-installed NEW sleep/wake or you must solder your old one onto the new one that you order. Not true and I have some good news. Ebay has the option to purchase a new screen replacement with a pre-installed Sleep/Wake sensor. You are not required to solder anything and it's only a few dollars more. Totally worth it!!!

Great video. My cuestion is how compatible is it? I know it is compatible with an iPad mini 5 but i feel like if the screen is not from apple itself, its gonna be just like some charging cable from different companies, where it says "your device is not compatible or this device does not support this" or something like that. If i can check that somehow i would like to know.
Is there a way to buy a screen replacement with the home button and everything already on it to avoid the soldering and button placement?
You can buy one with home button but if you do that then Touch ID will not work because it only works with the original home button that comes with the ipad
Do you know what happend if I don´t connect the flex that is solder?
I noticed screen flickering and some malfunction when I press the power button.
Where can I buy new screen for fix??

What is the use of flex cable that you solder?
Not sure but when I did not connect that thing, the ipad power button was acting up.

Late, but it is the sleep/wake sensor. That explains power on issues without it installed.

Hey, i have the same problem. can i use the LCD for ipad mini 4 instead for my ipad mini 5 ? Because they are identical. And its cheaper
I believe the LCD connectors are different. It is recommended to use iPad Mini 5 screen for iPad mini 5.

Hi good day where did you buy that lcd my lcd replacement dont have QR code at the back of the screen ,, and always lifts up my new lcd adhesive comes off side of the fles cabe
You need to add extra adhesive otherwise it wont stick to the frame very well. The part was order from esource parts

Hey whenever i turn on my ipad all that appears is some lines and a crack but when I turn off the screen the crack goes away.. any suggestions? The crack is not on the screen because I could not feel anything wrong with the screen
Probably a damaged LCD. LCD is like an egg shell. Very fragile. I have seen people breaking it often as they replace the screen

I tried to replace, I spent $100 and it didn’t work, some letters won’t work and some areas of the screen won’t respond. It goes to trash, lesson learned, if u don't have apple care you can trash because Apple will charge you almost the price of the new one and if you want DIY you will waist money and time.
It is important to test the screen before the final assembly. Also make sure the screen does not get too much pressure. The apple... is just too expensive all the time.
