Anyone saying bdc edp is better than the parfum havenât matured there nose yet. Yes the edp is good, itâs a casual wear blue fragrance. But the parfum brings out the matureness and sophistication of the edp. Subjectively, I like EDP more. It's more versatile, more fresh, and I personally like the scent more. Objectively, Parfum is deeper and more formal. Does that mean my nose is not sophisticated? I don't believe so. I've been in the fragrance game for 5 years. I've learned that fragrances are more subjective than objective. Just because someone's opinion on a fragrance sounds valid doesn't mean I'll like it over another and vice versa. You can convince me how awesome tasting dark chocolate is, I will always prefer regular chocolate. I don't like spicy scents, but I can objectively appreciate their attraction to others. I tend to like fresh scents.
I'm not a fan of blue fragrances but when I got my nose on BDC Parfum, I was quite impressed and this might be my next purchase. The only thing that I'm not impressed is the pricetag, almost $200.00 here in the US. Great video and would like to see more of these types of videos to get random impressions.
@@Tonixxy Chanels fragrances are rarely are sold at discounters and if they are, the prices are the same as the retailers. I have yet to come across BDC Parfum on any discounters because Chanel is very strict where it's sold.

BDC Parfum is niche quality. Very high quality deep woody blue frag. It doesn't have huge projection (which I quite like) but the longevity is good. Smells professional, grown up, masculine... very nice. Expensive though
nah its a pretty mediocre avg scent. not thats its bad, its very safe and universally popular for a reason. it doesnt offend but it also doesnt move anyone either. both genders would think you smell nice and fresh but you also won't stand out or get the "edge" from anyone - its kinda like wearing black and white vans, its popular and well liked no one will ever hate on you for it but they also wont think twice about you wearing it. even from the reactions you can tell no one was wowed or really moved by it while the ppl who preferred the ysl had a way more stronger reaction to it.
i just bought YSL Intense and I absolutely love it! It's unique from the rest of the Y line and to me it is the more mature fragrance. Both these fragrances are absolute gems and I am happy to own both

My theory is that BDC is way safer and it's inoffensive, so there will be less people that hate BDC...however Y fragrances are synthetic, sharp and too strong there will be more people that dislike it for those reasons... Here's the real catch though if you come across someone who likes both, they will choose Y most the time because they like Y more
BDC Parfum is not a typical blue fragrance even though itâs got Bleu in its name. It is well rounded and balanced classy fragrance to be worn on occasions. Obviously expensive(paid $230 Aud)but itâs worth it.
Blue de channel is more of a safe buy in 2023, very pleasant & been around for a while now.Most of the ppl have smelled it. It'll slowly become the old Aqua di gio..shouldn't compare the Y intense vs BDC as the YSL INTENSE is quite new & stronger with a Heavy projection..its very manly...BDC is more floral & pleasant, everyday use. Just as we wont compare MFK 540 or satin oud WITH BDC
I have all 3 BDC and just picked up Y edp and you hit the nail on the head. The BDC is more refined (like you are wearing a scent) but if you just want a fresh clean pop the ysl is great.
I wish I was financially that well. i am getting the 50ml first time, first thing tomorrow. the parfum version. I hope that is not a mistake because this shit is very expensive. Double the price of almost anything. Hope it is worth the rating.
If you watch other survey this is the opposite, why? Since you test on the skin the smell is contaminate and if you are really details about this, you test the same perfume on your left and right hand its will be totally difference. Test on paper strip is better.

Idk if these clipd were shown in the order they were taken, and how long passed between the first and last, but I noticed BDC parfum took the lead in the 2nd half, maybe showing the drydown is better that Y edp intense, whereas at the start they were very closely tied.
I do think that the dry down of BDC smells better but my husband resprayed the fragrances somewhere in the middle of the test Edit: and yes, all the clips are in order.
BDC EDT smells almost like a different DNA to the Parfum to my nose. A girl told me she didn't like what I was wearing when I wore the EDT and I don't particularly enjoy it either honestly. It smells like coins. I'll be getting the EDP next.

Honestly I find Y edp intense to smell not pleasant at all, I got a sample, wore it twice and it just doesn't smell that nice. My wife also agrees with me, she said it smells way worse than any other Y fragrance

I have the Bleu EDP and it projects far. I was at Dunkin and the two ladies behind the counter told me they could smell me from the back. I am not conservative with my sprays like some people. I do about 4 sprays per arm and 2 around the head.

I bought my Bleu de Chanel EDP in a department store, had them spray one wrist with Parfum, and the other with the EDP, walked around for a while, then chose based on which one appealed most to me.

I've always loved BDC. Y is ok. But to me it's not BDC which is top tier. I will say I prefer the Parfum and EDT over the parfum. I actually like the lighter fresher smell.
Bleu de Chanel is just too common, VERY nice fragrance but you just won't stand out in a lot of situations, if you want people to go home and actually remember how you smell or tell other people you smell good or even text you the next day telling you their room smells like YOU... those are all situations that can only occur if you not only smell good but smell Different! obviously Dior Sauvage is the most common right now but Bleu de Chanel is a very close second & even though YSL Y is still considered one of the big blue 3 next to these two, i think it will still be a couple more years before it becomes too common.
I just can't get on with any Chanel fragrances at all. They all smell like an old woman's 1950's type perfume to me. Some are worse than others, but ALL Chanel fragrances have that old woman DNA.
Bleu de chanel Parfum doesn't project strong enough and doesn't last long enough. Have to really overspray with it. And the large bottle cost me a fortune

Both stink. Ask 100 women and 80 will tell you Bleu de Chanel stinks. Also Aqua di Gio Profundo also stinks. Bottom line is most women want softer less acidic perfumey fragrances for men.

Hey, is there no installment payment method. Here in Canada we do, and I use it all the time. Especially FragranceNet or Fragrancex do have them.

Bleu de Chanel Parfum is in a league of its own. Timeline classic. It's my go-to fragrance for dates or dress up events.
The opening is fantastic but I feel it dries down to a pretty mediocre lemony scent.

I just bought them both. I'm not crazy about the ysl and I haven't even opened the Bleu yet. But I'm new to all this.
Y EDP intense fixes the only problem I have with Y edp, the sweetness. Now itâs perfect to me.

You NEED a full bottle wearing to truly experience itâs true performance. 6-8 sprays projects and lasts all day! Bleu de Chanel Parfum is the best

Parfum is better than EDP to me. EDP smells like grapefruit pencil shavings but Parfum smells like a different kinda sweet and wood. Almost creamy

Y intense gets worse in the dry down. Not as good as edp, let alone the best in the line, Le Parfum.

Bleu de chanel Parfum doesn't project strong enough and doesn't last long enough. Have to really overspray with it. And the large bottle cost me a fortune
Sound like a skin problem and not the fragrance. Everyone I know, including myself get on average 7-8 hrs of longevity

Both stink. Ask 100 women and 80 will tell you Bleu de Chanel stinks. Also Aqua di Gio Profundo also stinks. Bottom line is most women want softer less acidic perfumey fragrances for men.

Bleu Chanel is very annoying very classic very spicy, I donât recommend it for middle age men, maybe elderly.
I like the YSL intense better. It kind of reminds me of Versace EROS, just more peppery with less vanilla.
