Ghost ogre is insane when you treat it as board breaker instead of a HT. It shuts down appo, ip/sp, snake eye temple. It catches some decks off as a ht but its more impactful as a breaker.

Picking handtraps this meta is tough. I'm playing Purrely, and I want to play Fenrir instead of the 13th-15th habdtraps, but it feels like you need them.

Considering Tenpai's whole gimmick is BP on field effects akin to I:P. Ghost actually hits the entire main deck. You must control the Tenpai's at resolution to perform the Synchro summon. Forcing them to chain a second could be the difference between Life and Death

Issue is, you would have to ogre super late since if you do it too early, they just chain their 2nd tenpai effect to quick sync and your ogre had no impact. But if you use it too late, you die since you let too many things resolve. Ogre quite frankly just isn't that great against them unless all they have is a 1 card combo, or you also have a massive board + ogre. Hand trap is still overhyped like crazy

Ogre is good in certain situations, I'm playing Ash, Imperm and Veiler in the main deck. Of the deck I'm playing. Because they're all generic.

I have found 2 to be the sweet spot due to its once per turn. It sucks seeing multiple ogres unlike multiple Ash is almost always live turn 1 and 2.

Depending on the deck you play, Ghost ogre is about on par with veiler or mourner. They have their own good matchups, but all 3 fall behind ash and imperm.
I like to have 1-2 ogre in the main because it also serves as a crossout target and small world bridge on top of being a hand trap and psuedo board breaker (I'm currently playing melodious and small world is a very good budget alternative to 1st movement solo using veiler and ogre as bridges).
