This was a bizarre tutorial🤨??? You're making a bee but used an uneven color change method and an even weirder uneven closing method? Not using a magic ring is literally shredding/breaking your yarn because the chain 2 method was never meant to pull a hole closed, it was literally meant for absolute beginners who havn't learned the MR. Cute bee but weird crochet methods to make it🤷🏾‍♀️.

I made a simple bee using simple stitches for beginners
If you know the methods to make « even » color changes feel free to use them 🙂, same if you have another technique to close, and same for the MR or chain 2 technique (as I said in the tutorial, it is a personal preference)
I just shared what I like to do, and explained the steps to make the same bee I did
