Hi! New sub here. This was a singing competition but KZ was performing like she was at her own concert. I think her stage presence is incomparable. She embodies the music, seemingly becomes the music, so there is no way the audience do not experience it with her. She is just so amazing. All her performances in Singer 2018 showcase her versatility. I love all her choices in the arrangement of all her song covers. She is the perfect example of the fact that you don't need to hit very high notes to be able to move your audience. If you feel it enough and sing with your heart you can entrance your audience. She touches my heartstrings every time she performs, even when I am only watching through the screen. I can just imagine how her actual viewers feel when they are witnessing her greatness in person. Btw, if I may interject here... since you enjoy KZ's performance, I also believe you will like the Philippines' ambassadors of Filipino music, the SB19 boy group, in case you would want to check them out, if you haven't yet. They do almost everything themselves, from song composition, producing, MV, dance choreography, etc. They had stringent training under a Korean company in the Phil for 3-4 yrs, and are amazingly talented in singing and dancing as well as rapping. I think you will also enjoy their songs and performances. Three of the SB19 members - Pablo, Ken (who goes by Felip in his individual venture), and just recently, Josh, have also done individual projects that are all dope and worth checking. 😊
If I remember correctly, this was the round that kicked her out of the competition. But, they did get her to do a farewell performance in the next episode where she sang See you Again in Chinese (so the audience can understand). And then in the finals she came back to do the rap portion of Jesse J’s performance of Bang Bang.
So despite getting removed, she was still able to do 2 more songs after this on the show anyway.

Pretty sure she was eliminated after this performance. I think she was in the top 10 though, if I'm not mistaken. Jessie J won. Hua Chenyu was second I think. Very complicated elimination and scoring system in that show!
But she got eliminated after singing that song.
