South Africans are really interested in trading. How come there are no legitimate trading communities? Like there are in the UK, US, Singapore, Australia.. All we get is Instagram traders selling signals and so called one minute strategies.
Big teacher in this area...I was a boxer but my injuries make me quit boxing.. FOMO is everywhere even in the boxing , if you have fear that you will lose than you will really get lost ..respect

Fomo always left me with nothing every time when am about to take an order it jumps in and I stop taking it but the painful side is that the market goes straight to my target (SA loves you Falcon FX
Whenever I feel like I have missed out on a trade I say this "ihe oma adighi agwu agwu" it's an igbo expression which can loosely be translated as "Good things never finishes..." Thank you Falcon

From my personal experience I think at the root of fomo is actually insecurity and a lack of trust in your own strategy/knowledge. Doubt is a silent killer :D
I had dyslexia at some point in my life. So writing things down (Journaling) wasn't my favorite thing to do. Only now do I understand how important it is to reflect on things written down.

My problem isn't FOMO but FOL(Fear of Losing). I've been facing this problem for almost 8 months now. I was consistent on my demo account before making a deposit to my real account but I find it too difficult to pull the trigger and my analysis do play out almost all the time. I still don't know why. Can you talk about Fear Of Losing too please. Because I know I'm not the only trader who's suffering from it. I'm Oyelakin Azeez from Nigeria

Are you following your trading plan? Are you using the appropriate lot size based on your account balance? You’re going to lose some trades. You don’t have to put your entire deposit into MT4. Challenge yourself to flip $50. Stop overthinking and over analyzing the trade. Take the shot like a basketball player.
O boy Calm down... You will only attract and multiply what you visualize all the time..

When you fear Losses you will only multiply them. No Matter how good you are just make up room for Losses it's gonna come but will that hold you back?

mark i didnt really get the part of language journaling... can you please try and make it more clearer for, coz i dont know what it is that i really have to journal. like how do i write the thoughts? do i write how i feel when the fomo pops, or i just write how i feel before i take the trade? i am a bit lost in that area.., your help will be highly appreciated
Hey there you are on the right lines. Have a language Journey for before, throughout and after you place a trade. This way to can dissect your thoughts and feelings at different stages of your trading. You can literally just write down on a piece of paper. Every time you say something to yourself or have a thought write it down and then at the end of the month review it. Let us know how you get on

Create a trading plan and then stick to it. Most bad trades are down to a lack of structure or following ones strategy.
