In 1993, Iguatemi underwent a revitalization and opened 60 new stores. Four years later, the development added 75 stores, a new food court and a new garage building with 1,500 parking spaces. Its last expansion was inaugurated in 2016, which increased its area by 52%, a breath of renovation for the retail of the Capital. With that, it brought exclusive national and international operations to Rio Grande do Sul, considered an extra attraction for the thousands of customers who circulate through its corridors every day.
Reinforcing its role as a convenience and multipurpose space, Iguatemi Porto Alegre now has different corporate spaces: boutique offices, on the fourth floor, designed with glazed walls and a view of the shopping mall's internal area, which provide a differentiated environment of work with complete visual integration with the movement of people in the mall spaces; and Iguatemi Business, a 14-story commercial tower, perfect for those who want to promote big business and value the well-being of their employees.
