I used to make rice and dal in same cooker. Washing one after other. For 1 person that's doable. It barely takes 10 m for rice to cooka nd dal to cook like 15m max. Also, instead of all stuff to make roti. I have survived very conveniently on wheat tortillas for 2 years in Paris. Just toss it in micro and u r good to go.
