- This episode we make a pair of patio chairs. We are going to be making an entire patio furniture set including these two chairs, a sofa, coffee table, and probably some end tables. They will be made with a similar design to give a cohesive look. This will be going in a covered patio for me. My main goal was to make something that looked better than the average 2'x4' chairs, but still be simple enough for DIYers to make.

I got the Beadlock jig and the tenon stock from Rockler.com. For this project, I used the 1/2" attachment and drill bit.

Awesome project
Very nice and clean looking. A lot better than anything else I’ve seen. 🎉
Thank you very much!
Very nice design and build!
Now thats what I call quality build! Thanks
Glad you like it!
The supervisor gets the chair with the cushions 😂 Great job on the chairs, I need a couple for my porch, these are perfect.
Thanks! And yes, he demands the utmost comfort 😂
Awesome job, they look great.
These are beautiful, I love the angles on the sides. The only thing I wish these chairs had was a thoughtful cup holder but really they’re perfect as they are
Thanks!
Great design. Thanks for making the video. 👍
Glad you like it!
Thanks for making all the videos, definitely love them! I like how you put all the efforts to make your projects nice and sturdy!
Glad you like them!
Hi Antony. That is very good work. Very nice :-)
Thank you!
Nice design! I made your workbench using the plans on Esty and it turned out great!
Thanks. And I'm glad your workbench tuned out well!
7:42 careful about the pocket hole screws... Less so of your arms😂. Great looking chair btw
Hey, I really like the design you chose with the tapered edges. So much more elegant than a lot of the 4x4-based designs that look chunky. How is the Douglas fir doing after a couple years outside?
Thanks! and the set has held up extremely well. Although, I do keep them in a covered patio area
Really like your design! I've been watching a ton of build videos and I think yours is the best. Where can I get the cushions?
Great Build! what's the name of the stain you used?
its minwax golden pecan
Очень хорошо получилось, можешь чертежи отправить?
Can I use Dowels instead of the Beadlock lock? If so Will 3/8's Dowels work or should I use 1/2 inch? I would Like to use the Jig I already own. Thanks for your Video.
Yeah, dowels would work well for the project. Either one should be fine.
Just purchased your plans! What is the name of the stain used? Thank you!
I used minwax semi-transparent stain. color: golden pecan
I’m a taller guy and before I purchase plans one question. How deep is the seat?
about 24 inches. you alspo gotta consider the cushoins you use. you can always use thinner ones if you need to preserve depth
What kind of wood did you use ? I heard Kiln dried
I used grade c & btr kiln dried Douglas fir. Wasn't my first choice, but at more than half the price of weather resistant hardwoods at my local lumberyards, I thought it was a decent alternative.
