    I knew this would be a great post to watch and take cues from as a newbie to press-on nails. I also stopped going to the salon because they were ruining my own nails. When i saw your natural nails, it gave me the confidence to follow your routine! 😊

    After wearing acrylic nails for years, my nubs are so damaged. I literally have nubs, ugly horrible looking nubs. I really and blessed to find your site. I have coconut oil that has been sitting up in my cupboards never being used. I use vitamin e oil on my cuticles and I push my cuticles back and they’re still hard and dry. I am going to be very diligent in applying the coconut oil on my nubs. I know with a little patience it will pay off, and hopefully I will have strong, healthy nails again. I must have the patience of Job. Blessings be upon you my dear.

    Thank you! I have a question, do you apply the press ons on top of your natural nails while it has the nail hardener on it? Because I thought buffing the nail is the step before applying the press ons.

    Your nails are gorgeous!!! Did you do a tutorial when you applied those new gorgeous press on nails? I tried some dollar store nails. They only had twelve nails. I had to reshape a thumb nail for my middle finger. No one noticed, but I knew. I don't like that I couldn't trim the nail down because they were pre-designed. I didn't like that they kept popping off when I pulled up my leggings or made the bed. But, I loved the length. What do I do? It was nice how easy they were to get off though. I want to try the btartbox nails really bad. But, I wanted to make sure I could handle foreign objects on my nails.

    I HAAAAATTTEEEEEEEE that my nails are so brittle after months of fill-ins. I have one more appointment cuz I'm getting married in November but after that, I need to transition to doing my nails myself. It's just too expensive. I want my nails to be strong and hard again. I wash dishes without gloves 🥴. Girl I. Need. HELP

    • @shaynicolexo
      @shaynicolexo  Před rokem +14

      I completely understand. Most nail salons really over drill your nail beds and cut too far into your cuticles. It's not healthy. I hope you make the transition to press-ons after your wedding. You will save so much money, and your nails will be stronger than ever! Congrats on your upcoming nuptials!

      @shaynicolexo  Před rokem +9

      Thank you love! You should only be soaking for 10 minutes! You'd wait much longer to soak off acrylic or gel at the nail salon 😩 And I prefer to buff over the polish instead of fully removing it. I like the barrier it creates.

    If warm, soapy water helps the nail removal; wouldn't warm, soapy water from bathing and dishwashing be detrimental to your press-on nail routine? Wouldn't this make them come off sooner?

    • @shaynicolexo
      @shaynicolexo  Před rokem +2

      Nope. I like that it creates a barrier between my nail bed and the gel glue. Filing to create the ridged helps ensure the glue will settle in. You can also use a primer/dehydrator on top of the hard as nails
