- If you like to gamble, I tell you I'm your man,
You win some, lose some, all the same to me,
The pleasure is to play, makes no difference what you say,
I don't share your greed, the only card I need is
The Ace Of Spades
Playing for the high one, dancing with the devil,
Going with the flow, it's all the game to me,
Seven or Eleven, snake eyes watching you,
Double up or quit, double stake or split,
The Ace Of Spades
You know I'm born to lose, and gambling's for fools,
But that's the way I like it baby,
I don't wanna live for ever,
And don't forget the joker!
Pushing up the ante, I know you wanna see me,
Read 'em and weep, the dead man's hand again,
I see it in your eyes, take one look and die,
The only thing you see, you know it's gonna be,
The Ace Of Spades
Lemmy - Bass & Vocals
Fast Eddie Clarke - Guitar & Vocals
Philthy Animal Taylor - Drums & Insults
All Thrash Metal and Brutal Death Metal combined could never come closer to this gut-wrenching explosion of savage rock and roll.
That's a perfect statement about this band!! 👊💀
Slayer at the Ritz, December 6 1986 is way up there, amazingly no one died that night, thank god, but this is a pretty wild show too~ranks right up there.
Well folks, if you hear thunder and lightning outside It’s not a storm. It’s Motörhead rehersing in Heaven. Rock in peace Three Amigos!🤘🏻
I don't wanna live forever!
i am an old punk, motorhead are amongst the best live acts ive ever seen hard fast loud dont give a fuck rock n roll - when Lemmy died the world got darker and quieter and became a worse place
That #Rickenbacker bass though........ That BASS sound is so awesome.....
Best lineup...👏🇮🇹
Huge! I was used to listen this record when I was playing chess with my father.
Lemmy and my father died during the same week.
RIP
Sorry to hear of your loss dude.
Sounds like some great memories. Sorry for your loss.
Motörhead never sounded (or looked) better than with this original line up. Eddie is somewhat underrated. Love his distinct supertight rhythm playing. He's the actual rhythmic anchor of the band (particularily noticeable on for instance Jail Bait).
Remember folks, this was well before Metalica hit the scene...
My favourite band
And song
*Best. Lineup. Ever. RIP*
R.I.P. Lemmy,Phil and Now Eddie
you will always be remembered
That legendary line up will always be in my heart. RIP!
It doesn't get better then this. PERFECT..
Great memories the original three Rip lads

+Hypernova Twilight But apparently I am !
The stunning, amazing drumming skills of the incredible Phil 'Philthy Animal' Taylor. A real genuine one-off. Much missed. Rock on in Heaven Phil with Eddie and Lemmy all together again

One of the GREATEST ever!!!!!
Ace in peace Lemmy.
A locomotiva desenfreada! Essa é eterna e nunca parará! Vida longa ao motor🤘
I bought the cassette tape in the early 80's. Still have it.
I bought the album right after it came out at Camelot music, my friend managed the store and smartly had started stocking a lot of hard rock/heavy metal, before it was cool, he was also a fan, but looked to sell records also. He is the one that turned me on to Metallica when their first album came out, he said you HAVE to hear this album (Kill 'em All), it will blow you away.It did, anyway the No Sleep album was my introduction to Motorhead, one of the best rock, hard rock, what the fuck ever you want to classify them as, bands the world has ever seen. They will be one of my favorite bands for life, and this is the best performance of their crown jewel song ever, at least that I've heard so far, to me.
Someone offered me a ticket to go and see Motorhead at the Hammersmith Apollo in around 2008. I was going to see BB King at the Albert Hall the same night, and turned it down. BB was as great as ever, but I'd already seen him a few times before. I never saw them live, and always regretted it. This track is the greatest Metal track of all, in my view.
the pleasure is to play

Hey just wondering where did you find the video tape
Hi Stefan,
No Sleep 'Til Hammersmith was recorded during the 'Short Sharp Pain In The Neck' Tour.
Dates were -
27 March 1981: West Runton Pavilion, Norfolk, England
28 March 1981: Queen's Hall, Leeds, England
29 March 1981: City Hall, Newcastle, England
30 March 1981: City Hall, Newcastle, England
3 April 1981: Maysfield Leisure Centre, Belfast, Northern Ireland
Hammersmith was not played on the tour.
The Leeds & Newcastle gigs were recorded and the majority of the album comes from the Newcastle dates due to poor sound at Leeds. Iron Horse was recorded in 1980.
No known video footage of the Newcastle gigs exist so I have made these No Sleep videos with the No Sleep 'Til Hammersmith audio and any available live video footage of the songs so the fans can have an idea of how great the band were at this point in time.
The video in this clip is from 3 April 1981: Maysfield Leisure Centre, Belfast, Northern Ireland
The videos are not commercially available.
