I bought the GCS-8 a couple of weeks ago. Great product. Used it on a trip to NM. My friend plugged his guitar into the XLR on the back. PERMANENTLY. The shop saved his cord and connector while destroying the XLR input. Please God, let me be the only one with this problem. New product ideas are tricky to implement. The "little things" come back . . . .
I received mine yesterday. Quality is great!! Effects are great!! But I was very disappointed to find out the Delay's do not offer a time division when being synced to BPM.. When using the GA-FC footswitsch to tap the BPM, the delay time is much to high and unussable as an effect on vocals or an intstrument. This would be quite an easy future to add.. Please Boss... 😇
A feature update idea 💡. Those XLR inputs should be able to be split out into mono inputs. Allow those 8 faders to control channel left and right independently
Also are you planning for a bigger gig caster from 12 channels or more? I'm shopping for a 32bit mixer for my live band but the gig caster 8 is too limited for my needs as you only have 4 channels that are ideal for live music.
I can't get Windows to recognize audio input from this. Very frustrated. Windows sees the unit as a mic, but no audio input comes in. My Shure mic is connected and my voice is being seen by the mixer, the EQ moves when I talk. Somewhat new to this and lost. It was working for a few weeks before last night. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

I own one of these and it is a great product but I am very disappointed that all 4 inputs have to be used up for two stereo sources. I wanted to run a stereo guitar rig and stereo synth into it then sing along with my mic but this is not possible. Why couldn't the inputs be trs stereo ? Real shame considering the price.
You can use the mobile phone input on the front for a keyboard. Just use a dual mono 1/4" jack to stereo mini-jack lead. I bet you can also buy bluetooth adaptors that plug into say the back of the keyboard and then enter the mixer through the bluetooth channel.
Has anybody found a PowerBank that can power the Gigcaster 8 from the USB-C port as claimed by Boss? All the ones I've tried instigate the machine to come up with a 'power insufficient, please use the supplied power adaptor'.

such a great device, but still NOT WORKING with Mac OS 14 or IOS 17. that’s really frustrating, since this limitation ist mentioned nowhere

Yes they are.. Several functions can be added.. All the function's that can be added to the GA-FC footcontroller can also be added to the pads.

You need to have a powerbank with PD output. Preferrably with 2A capacity.
I cannot find a retail price anywhere, therefore I assume its overpriced. I'll wait for the Behringer model.....
