Can i just say that your videos always motivate me for some reason! One of it is probably because your make a lot of college videos and I’m going college next year. I’m ending my gce and i actually have a place in my potential college with my favourite course. However there’s a minimum entry requirement and now I’m nervous that I can’t make it. lol hais!!

@@KatieTracy Just a quick question, do you happen to have any youth specific tips for applying? As in, for a middle schooler. I'm in 8th and applying to some college early entrance programs, and a lot of the awards and extracurriculars mentioned were specific to high school students. They were very helpful though!

I really regret not applying to Cornell ED. I applied to UPenn Wharton instead and got rejected. I was scared about the difficulty of the school and how cold it was (and semester suicide I guesss) and even somewhat career prospects, but I realized that I would be able to handle all those things. I already visited twice and did a summer program there and I guess I forgot how BEAUTIFUL it is. I wish Cornell had EDII lol but I will just have to wait for Regular Decision I guess.

Hi Katie, do you know if psychology is a hard major to get into in Cornell? I'm from the Caribbean and want to apply so bad in the next 3 years.
honestly i'd just say go for it if you love it, regardless of the acceptance rate or whatever! you'd also be applying to the college (that'd be arts & sciences) so you won't be binded to psych anyway. best of luck!! :) you totally should apply.

Diana Khalil it depends on the college! It’s not the same for all ivy leagues so I’d suggest researching.

AH CONGRATULATIONS!!🎊 if you’re worried about difficulty, I think you should definitely come. It’s normal for EVERYBODY to worry about this but I think things that challenge you are what mold you into the best version of yourself. You grow so much and get inspired by people around you. Plus when you get here you realize there are so many resources to help you succeed and most importantly, friends who will support you in and outside the classroom. :) if you’re worried about expenses though I totally understand and would talk to your family about it, especially if you do want to come. I’d also advise trying to apply for more financial aid or getting funds from other organizations that help students with making education more affordable. Best of luck! I know you’ll succeed wherever you choose!

HI could you please tell about the financial aid for international students at Cornell?
If you look at the website closely, international students are welcomed to apply financial aid but the admission for international students is need-aware, which basically means that your chances are hurt a lot if you apply for financial aid. I am an international and I did not apply for aid. But try to find other internationals who got aid and look at their achievements and maybe you would get a sense of the level of internationals that Cornell gives aids to. (I can feel your frustration and perhaps you want to ask admission officers "Hi I know I applied for aid but if you guys think I can only get in without an aid I will take that as well". I personally don't think that is an option but you can always make a phone call. They are nice people.)
