yes, 100% true. I spent sometime with German engineers from SAP, when I was in USA. I see that they are very methodical and professional in doing things. We had to work with them on some project; they work with strict timelines and take commitments very very seriously. They don't waste time, overall, very responsible people. They are all very proud of Germany, very patriotic.
They are more like Japanese, but more patriotic too.
However, US is very different; kids there focus a lot more on creativity & original thinking. That's why grew faster and will continue to grow.

The main drawback in indian education is that the patriotism is not been inculcated in the children. One of my american colleague visited india and said that looks like no body is patriotic in india otherwise why the road looks so dirty. Though india has so much potential for tourism on historical places, he said the foreigners dont get attracted to visit the country when it looks so dirty everywhere. The real patriotism is been taught only in army schools in india. The child studied in army school thinks so differently than the normal child. Here patriotism means just singing jana gana mana.

U have to forgive me for saying this.
Our education is not worth. In our society, most learned (bureaucrats, politicians,etc) are corrupted, lack of integrity than illiterates. So what is purpose and quality of education v r giving is important.
