Our neighbor used great stuff insulating foam
I like self tapper screws and pole barn tin to cover holes or five gallon buckets or 15 gallon teat dip barrels for auger trough patches😆 spray foam would have worked dandy for your repair

I would have just kept the cardboard box in place to catch it, and dump the box every round.
Not only are you collecting the spilled grain, but it’s a handy way to sample grain quality and moisture.
We needed a bigger box because we were still dropping a lot on the ground!

There is just a little gap there where the corn is leaking out. Case IH actually makes a brush kit for the feeder house to fix the issue of grain going over the feeder house drum. We learned about that after us fixing it our own way!
Which combines do u like better green or red
