Hi, I bought a 2011 from Insurance auto auction Fayetteville facility. They trucked it to my drive next day, I am thrilled. However, after a couple of days the driver side mirror failed. Most unfortunately it failed in the folded position.
It is loose and floppy like someone tried to rip it off. Or, perhaps it was stuck in the folded position and they needed to sell the Enclave. The Reflector is discolored like it had been very hot and discolored and started to lift the reflective coating inside of the reflective glass. The adjustment of the reflector seems to still work the Up Down Left Right. I found a couple of white mirrors on Ebay and a "Paintable" black at a parts retailer.
components to repair the existing assembly? If it cuts the cost down from $100 bucks, it would be worth it to me to spend an afternoon and rebuild the power folding mirror. That is a bit iffy due to the mirror "head" apparently not attached to the base inside leaving it loose and bouncy.
