MAY 20, 2024: With her 100th birthday only a few months away, retired school teacher Linnette Guy’s memory is just as sharp as it was in the days of her youth, leaving family and friends amazed by her ability to recall events that they cannot remember.
When THE STAR visited Guy on Sunday at the Serene Surrounding Nursing Care Home in Bog Walk, St Catherine, the 99-year-old was vibrant and cheerful, excited to share the joyful stories of her past.
On October 13, 1924, Guy was born and raised in Bluefields, Westmoreland, at a place her grandfather named ‘The Cottage’.

My Motherin law is 98 years old and as sharpest as a tack just like her..she lives in Spanish town goes to church...we truly need to raise our children the way we were raised in nature...I am from Westmoreland in the same areas she is from ...she probably knows my Dad he was from bluefields Cave and my mom family is from whitehouse..beautiful places still..truly beautiful.on the plateau she speaks of..the views are so beautiful...

Just pack up the interviewer. In an interview like this, you would expect the interviewer to connect. This could have been so much more beautiful. I would’ve considered not posting this but we would’ve missed this beautiful soul.
Did you consider that the interviewer is inexperienced (doing the best she knows to) and just sharing with the public a sweet interaction? I do not think this was meant PRIMARILY for the public but just the sharing by students who value this living treasure who embodies history.

Interviewer is definitely a rookie but lovely interview.
That person who's conducting the interview should immediately be fired,she don't got no sympathy or soft spot knowing that it's a elder lady...she's just aggressive
Interviewer is not consistent she jump around with the questions
that lady that doing the interview have no compassion on the elderly she just throing the question like that give the lady a little time to talk
