Thanks for this great video guys. Watched it when it came out, not knowing that I’d have a UGP-tuned MK7.5 R in my driveway 9 months later. Have owned it for 6 months now, still can’t get enough of driving it even though it’s my daily.

Sandro Kolar no problems at all. If you’re anywhere near South West Sydney, go and see Dave at PacorTech in Ingleburn. He now has a dyno, so UGP HQ can do custom tweaks and tuning in Sydney now too.
Edit: only problem is I now want to go Stage two 😂

These cars have heaps of potential, I have run a 12.8 completely stock (DSG transmission) on my 2017 Golf R 👍
What's the torque rating on the gearbox?
richiesworld1 a stage one tune runs 540 nm no probs, if you tune the dsg they can handle 750 nm.
I definitely miss my 8V S3 Sportback was stage2 with all the add ons including that ie intake and CTS everything else. Was all done by Alex and Gavin in their old premises but I’ll be taking my mk6 Ed35 there’s soon though.
Great Now Mum will be doing 10's.

Great build and knowledge. What is benefit of v5 over v4 TT blower fir this engine?
Love 'em/hate 'em.......there fast and reasonably reliable. Especially considering you can scrape one into the tens. Can't think of too many cars with all the modern cons that could go that fast on the same budget.

I have a MK6 Golf R, with just intake + downpipe + hpfp I dynoed at 220awkw just a couple bolt ons and a tune with the stock turbo, not at all bad for a hatchback lol, about 270kw at the motor in a hatch does go quite nice, the MK7 Golf R on the other hand is unreal just a tune alone will put you at 215-220awkw then once you start doing downpipe and intake you're at about 290kw at the motor or about 240awkw.
Get your golf retuned Else where....hpf are not the best, there not the shit'ist but i bet u could get more then 220awkw with another tuner
Yep not reason to get a MK6 unless you own one already but it's worth the upgrade. Couple out here in SoCal run 9's.

Completely agree. It's like there is a bible that defines how much power each stage has, that we all have in our back pocket, that we can reference anytime we feel like it... Or, wait, does google know? Nope.
Stage 3 on a car that has 170hp, like the mazdaspeed protoge, would be what 300hp? Double the power? How about on a Lambo Hurracan? $1200hp?
That's a huge difference. Stages mean nothing except for the person that came up with it. Talking out of his butt basically. Looking like an fool, while acting like you're ignorant and he isn't. Projecting basically.

Yeah it's all fun until you start lunching gearboxes like the ones in vdubs not cheap at over 10k Oh and forget about warranty if you modified it that includes a simple reflash.

@@Ryan-hf9qz my mates sons Audi in stock form blew his gearbox under warranty. That was a 18k box so lucky for him it wasn't modified or its bye bye warranty and a big bill for him😁

@Peter 100%. Hard to break a DSG but I guess there is a bad apple in every barrel who would say I did it. His conditions allowed for it, blames the OE not himself.

Well from what i have heard in this vid dsg transmission has an automated clutching system other than you foot on the clutch pedal doing the work. Can't beat a computer clutching according to lap times.
I think the Audi RS3 5 cylinder engines are crazy fast. Faster than the Golf R's and sound awesome.

I don't particularly like them, but I'm not a "hot hatch" guy. They *are* quick, I have run a couple at cars & coffee, they are quick stock, with an extra ~10psi they'd be *really quick*
The guys there know their stuff, and have the right idea on their tuning. Rebuild to make it quicker, not because it threw a rod.👍🏼
