I raised my little children with these Maranatha songs. These many years later, I'm returning to them for their simplicity allows me to connect with the Spirit instead of trying to follow the complicated melodies of today. They're also a wonderful way to memorize Scripture. It's good to be home again.
I was thinkin the same thing. My little girl was 4yrs. Now she gettin ready to have a child of her own. I will be playing these songs to him. And the precious cycle continues. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

This is my home church, Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa Calf. These songs came out of the Jesus Movement and still have that very special anointing today as they did back when they were introduced. Timeless classics
These songs have a real special meaning to me.😍I was raised up in the Lord in a Baptist Church. I had a great Sunday school teacher in Tennessee who gave me a red lettered King James Version of the Bible that had the the golden edging on the thin pages when I was 14 years old. I still have it with me @ 73 years of age. We (My Bible; the Lord; and I) have traveled a lot of places and been through a lot good and some extremely hard adventures. I travel to California when I was 19 in the USMC. My dad was an aviation gunner in the USMC in WWII and my uncle was in the USMC during the Korean War. I was in during the Vietnam period. I never moved back to the green grasses and Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. I moved all over California and drifted away from my true love (*The Lord). All through my life the Lord saved me from physical death so many times I could write a book about it... but in 1985 He decided I had "had it my way" long enough. By that time in life I had been married and divorced and was a single parent law enforcement officer with a young teen aged son. Now I was still trailblazing through life, but with my son in tow and still not back close to the Lord. I had just gotten my CDFG Patrol Lieutenant's position and was assigned to a desert position in SO. California. The Lord took me the desert to save me and my son..The Lord had someone, who I had gotten close to, ask me," who was I serving Satan(our default setting) or God (who we have to chose)? They asked me if I am saying "I am a Christian", when was the last time I opened a Bible? They asked me why did I believe that Jesus Christ was my SAVIOR if I thought all people that tried to be good would go to heaven? And why I thought God was a mass of energy that we would become one with when we died? Those questions pierced my heart and the Holy Spirit revealed His Presence to me when I was crying that I did not want to be a servant of Satan by default, because I had not chosen the One who died and rose for me. My life was changed forever by that single revelation& even more thereafter. It changed my son's life too and he accepted the Lord too. I went to Calvary Chapel in Costa Mesa when I moved back to the coast & listened to Chuck Smith & loved the music that came out of that church. I have lived in the Northern Ca mountains now for over 33 years but will always have a place in my heart for the beauty and peace I felt in the desert.
The Holy Spirit got my attention in October 1983, informing my heart of my need for Christ. Maranatha music was my bread and butter of worship in my early days as a disciple. Such a treat to be brought back to this kind of foundational music, very much rooted in scripture. Thanks for sharing!

Heard God's Word preached,"Just reach out and touch the hem of His Garment😊 Also,my two little boys,my husband all went down in the water, Baptized in Jesus Name for the remission of sins. This music brings back wonderful memories. Singing, dancing, speaking to God in His Heavenly language. Nobody can touch you like Jesus. You will never be the same. God is God is REAL, Yes, He loves us.
I too, raised my daughters listening to this praise music!❤This music would help us take our focus off of ourselves and cause us to focus on Jesus! He would want us to focus on serving others! At the time it caused us to grow in Christ, as long as, we didn’t focus on ourselves. He met all of our needs, as He said that He would. I was a single mother at the time. Christ is my all in all.

Jesus touched my heart by surprising me with this link as I was having a hard day trying to overcome the many thought the enemy was bombarding me with. I was saved when this music was first out and it took me back to how faithful Jesus is from my new birth to 40 years later. Going back into the birth canal experience! The LORD saved me during the JESUS MOVEMENT in the 1970's. It was a GLORIOUS time! By His Grace, still going strong! Even so come, LORD JESUS!
This takes me back to that time also. I was involved with Campus Crusade for Christ in the 70s, and was blessed to be part of Explo 72 in Dallas. Many of these songs grew out of those movements. I remember awesome praise services, singing many of these songs in worship of our Lord. Praise Jesus! Thank you, Lord!

Got born again in 1984 when a teenager and this is the worship music I got introduced to by my mentors, now in my 50's. So refreshing and inspiring. The challenge is the many ads in between.

Thank you so much for putting these songs online. I have longed for these and could not find them. They provide inspiration and encouragement to me and probably to all listeners, and all of these songs were songs that I listen to when I was a "baby" Christian. They never cease to touch people's lives because they are all Bible based and not merely people's feelings or opinions about the Bible.
I know some of these songs of the Maranatha singers as they have been shared on youtube over the past few years. Brought up in the Church of England, which has lovely hymns more conventional but lovely too. The words I always looked to along with the music written to them. The psalms are a great point in this. I find scripture comes alive when you sing the psalms. You remember them too, word for word, like you would your favourite song. The last few years of the Covid period, has been a blessing for me, for God used the time to pull me in line, no turning from right nor left, but straight ahead, marching on in the centre of the narrow way. Even with troubles I have had, God has given me joy within my soul. Hallelujah. Amen
Thank God for answering my heart desires. This compilation was one of the very few christian music recorded on audio tape I had and was feeding on but moving around during different relocation I lost it and because it had no label I couldn't get it to buy since 1994. I just bumped into it now while scrolling through CZcams scripture songs to take a nap after a session with the Lord. Quite nostalgic & refreshing...... I will never forget Maranatha for God using them for me, my twins sis, our your sister through our eldest sister who played them in the 90s every morning. And they stick to our hearts and souls and have influenced our worship and commitment to God even in our service to God in the choir - Living Souls Baptist Church where we served the Lord for about 19 years and still help us in worship greatly. We can never be tired of listing to them. We are sure raising our children too with them. All Glory Hallelujah to God in the Highest. Praise the Lord!

Saturday-Sabbath is my way of refreshing and having a rest just as scripture says.

After accepting Christ and his offer of eternal life, teaching about just how to live out our trust in the Lord was spotty. Like Paul explained, I was vexed by sin. I knew this awareness was beyond my ability to fabricate, because my heart ached for people to escape the sinful spirit of the age-not be like me so that I could feel comfortable. Then, I came upon the Maranatha song with the lyrics, “my peace I give unto you…it’s a love that the world cannot understand.” Even now, I’m moved by the heart of God communicated to us in these words. We have, as it were, a lifelong burden for the lost and yet a deep consolation that Jesus wants to wrap us in His peace-as His Spirit seeks and saves more prodigals-such as we were.
Don't you know It's Time To Praise the Lord--that song stayed with me and is the theme the Holy Spirit is emphasizing now (and always, of course)...Why? He is so Worthy....precious lamb of God, Saviour and Friend. Let's hear it for those who walked before us and how marvelous they were for recording these biblical sound worship songs. As it should be! I grew up listening as my parents would put records and tape cassettes on, and they invited the Holy Spitit to dwell with us, and he did. There was an absolute peace that flowed in our home. Thank you, Mom and Dad, for showing us The Way. Thank you for extended relatives for the true old-fashioned prayer meetings when the Holy Spirit would come powerfully. I raised my little children with these Maranatha songs. These many years later, I'm returning to them for their simplicity allows me to connect with the Spirit instead of trying to follow the complicated melodies of today. They're also a wonderful way to memorize Scripture. It's good to be home again.

As a new believer in 1980, I would often wait until the family was asleep then I would play these beautiful worship songs, tears streaming down my cheeks, not realizing that HE actually lived in me. Thank you Maranatha Music. Thank you Lord of all for this inspiration you gave to help us to worship You, our King, Redeemer and lover of our souls.

This is my home church, Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa Calf. These songs came out of the Jesus Movement and still have that very special anointing today as they did back when they were introduced. Timeless classics
These songs have a real special meaning to me.😍I was raised up in the Lord in a Baptist Church. I had a great Sunday school teacher in Tennessee who gave me a red lettered King James Version of the Bible that had the the golden edging on the thin pages when I was 14 years old. I still have it with me @ 73 years of age. We (My Bible; the Lord; and I) have traveled a lot of places and been through a lot good and some extremely hard adventures. I travel to California when I was 19 in the USMC. My dad was an aviation gunner in the USMC in WWII and my uncle was in the USMC during the Korean War. I was in during the Vietnam period. I never moved back to the green grasses and Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. I moved all over California and drifted away from my true love (*The Lord). All through my life the Lord saved me from physical death so many times I could write a book about it... but in 1985 He decided I had "had it my way" long enough. By that time in life I had been married and divorced and was a single parent law enforcement officer with a young teen aged son. Now I was still trailblazing through life, but with my son in tow and still not back close to the Lord. I had just gotten my CDFG Patrol Lieutenant's position and was assigned to a desert position in SO. California. The Lord took me the desert to save me and my son..The Lord had someone, who I had gotten close to, ask me," who was I serving Satan(our default setting) or God (who we have to chose)? They asked me if I am saying "I am a Christian", when was the last time I opened a Bible? They asked me why did I believe that Jesus Christ was my SAVIOR if I thought all people that tried to be good would go to heaven? And why I thought God was a mass of energy that we would become one with when we died? Those questions pierced my heart and the Holy Spirit revealed His Presence to me when I was crying that I did not want to be a servant of Satan by default, because I had not chosen the One who died and rose for me. My life was changed forever by that single revelation& even more thereafter. It changed my son's life too and he accepted the Lord too. I went to Calvary Chapel in Costa Mesa when I moved back to the coast & listened to Chuck Smith & loved the music that came out of that church. I have lived in the Northern Ca mountains now for over 33 years but will always have a place in my heart for the beauty and peace I felt in the desert.
Lord, I ask that whoever reads this message may his heart be filled with your peace, mercy and forgiveness 🙏

This takes me back to that time also. I was involved with Campus Crusade for Christ in the 70s, and was blessed to be part of Explo 72 in Dallas. Many of these songs grew out of those movements. Got born again in 1984 when a teenager and this is the worship music I got introduced to by my mentors, now in my 50's. So refreshing and inspiring. The challenge is the many ads in between.

They provide inspiration and encouragement to me and probably to all listeners, and all of these songs were songs that I listen to when I was a "baby" Christian. I know some of these songs of the Maranatha singers as they have been shared on youtube over the past few years. Brought up in the Church of England, which has lovely hymns more conventional but lovely too. The words I always looked to along with the music written to them. The psalms are a great point in this. I find scripture comes alive when you sing the psalms. You remember them too, word for word, like you would your favourite song. The last few years of the Covid period, has been a blessing for me, for God used the time to pull me in line, no turning from right nor left, but straight ahead, marching on in the centre of the narrow way. Even with troubles I have had, God has given me joy within my soul. Hallelujah. Amen

This compilation was one of the very few christian music recorded on audio tape I had and was feeding on but moving around during different relocation I lost it and because it had no label I couldn't get it to buy since 1994.

Im reading all the comments , Werent we BLESSED to be a part of the revival , that came out of the Jesus Movement ,in the 60s . I will never forget Maranatha for God using them for me, my twins sis, our your sister through our eldest sister who played them in the 90s every morning. And they stick to our hearts and souls and have influenced our worship and commitment to God even in our service to God in the choir - Living Souls Baptist Church where we served the Lord for about 19 years and still help us in worship greatly. We can never be tired of listing to them. We are sure raising our children too with them. All Glory Hallelujah to God in the Highest. Praise the Lord!

Like everyone here I too grew up with these songs. The Lord visited me with his gospel through Blessed friends in high school and these were the songs that I learned. Thank you Jesus thank you heavenly father for the Holy Spirit Inspired these songs. These are truly anointed songs.
The word is alive. The worship singers here reverence Jesus and Gods word. These are timeless. Filled with the scripture and the Holy spirit. They bring me peace and tender my heart to Jesus.

@@Jaroslav777 Jesus is still Jewish and is their Messiah who will return one day .It's my way of honouring Him. I also spend time with Him in the Bible daily and still go to church on Sunday to spend time with the rest of the family.
@@laurettaalicebrydon Yahoshua was Jewish, cam to his own and his own have rejected him. I think he is not Jewish anymore because he came to be Messiah not only for Jews but for whole world. There will be one flock and one Sheppard in God's Kingdom made of all the tribes and races of the world. There will not be Jews and gentiles anymore.
Saturday-Sabbath is my way of refreshing and having a rest just as scripture says.

Then, I came upon the Maranatha song with the lyrics, “my peace I give unto you…it’s a love that the world cannot understand.” Even now, I’m moved by the heart of God communicated to us in these words. We have, as it were, a lifelong burden for the lost and yet a deep consolation that Jesus wants to wrap us in His peace-as His Spirit seeks and saves more prodigals-such as we were.

Don't you know It's Time To Praise the Lord--that song stayed with me and is the theme the Holy Spirit is emphasizing now (and always, of course)...Why? He is so Worthy....precious lamb of God, Saviour and Friend. Thank you for uploading...What a blessing...brings back so many memories while going through my university days...we'll be singing them around eternity all over again, i'm sure!

Thanks a lot that such a compilation of touching songs that are still used by the Holy Spirit to correct, encourage, rebuke, teach and remind me about remaining faithful and true to God my Saviour. Maranatha Music Praise One (1) to Praise Fourteen (14) were my best and favourite collection of Gospel Songs. After losing them all, this CZcams Collection is an answer to prayer.

Let's hear it for those who walked before us and how marvelous they were for recording these biblical sound worship songs. As it should be! I grew up listening as my parents would put records and tape cassettes on, and they invited the Holy Spitit to dwell with us, and he did. There was an absolute peace that flowed in our home. Thank you, Mom and Dad, for showing us The Way. Thank you for extended relatives for the true old-fashioned prayer meetings when the Holy Spirit would come powerfully. We need to get back to true worship of God and not self!!!!
