I just hope NatGeo is treating this guy the way he deserves for his work.
staying with a company for 33 years , is a good sign of that i suppose
Fron Villa yea me to !! I was thinking of that.
he is Japanese, they are known to be loyal especially his generation
they BETTER pay him his $$$$$$$$$$ salary!!! he IS a very very important technician!! bet you his "turnaround time" is way fast!
you can tell and read this mans good nature positive attitude dedication true love and passion for his work.. we need more of him
stryker7x we can never afford more of him. This is the real education, not the degree papers that kids nowadays are being forced to chase by their folks generation. We've turned attention towards the need for more money. We've ruined the environment that should have natured such skills. We've lost it all, at the point of no return.
Exactly! :)
I understand the "Folks generation" thing. But please remember Marx's theory of dialectics: Every thesis will provoke an anti-thesis. Every movement will provoke a counter movent. And mind you that the movement you're refering to has a counter movement! So much greater than you will believe :)
so its a good thing right ?
yahh, your right
he's a good guy I hope to see more about him thanks
Hope we can see more of this gentleman
Kenji works in photo engineering, he doesn't just repair cameras or enhances them, he takes wild ideas photographers have and creates something new to give the world another perspective all together. I worked for Nat Geo TV in a similar role but with motion picture and broadcast video. Kenji is also a great Photgrapher and loves taking panoramas the old fashion way, taking multiple pictures in-line and manually lining them together. Back in 1998 he took a picture of me in seven places doing different things all in one wide image. It's basically me cloned seven times. No doubt about it, he's multi-talented.
Hey! Can you suggest me where to do and learn photo engineering? I am engineer and want to pursue career in photo engineering.
@@rottenshutter8379 Photo Engineering at Nat Geo is no longer. The magazine and the way it’s run is different than in the past. The only related jobs would be for a manufacturer or equipment rental or repair.
thumbs up for this guy. He should have his own channel.
this great man is too modest, respect.
So he is practically an equivalent of Q from James Bond
Please return everything intact Mr Bond. :)
It's great that you show the people behind the scenes responsible for all the great work I think there needs to be more of this since they are usually taken for granted but without them none of this would exist, KUDOS!

Very cool. That man has heart and I think really appreciates the little things.
He is the NatGeo's Q. Most engineers in a thriving work environment like that usually work behind the scenes and come up with great things. They have the utmost patience to achieve perfection.
Great film. So nice to see someone so dedicated and thinking outside the box. Oh and extremely humble. Very rare nowadays
Just beautiful, as a 16 year old teen I'm glad to know that there is something out there for everyone.

An asian man's narrative, "oh yeah, im just ok, I try my best, but the camera man is the guy who's the hero. He's the one that gets all the great shots, Im mearly a tool in his masterpiece."
A White man's narrative, "Hell yeah, Im the brains of the operation. I make everything work, without me they won't get those shots. Trust me im over worked and under paid." Merica!
i think when you mix both statements, that you are finding the truth.
