Elias immediately filed a lawsuit against Georgia’s Election Board, as the governor has been working with his Attorney General to try to have tRump’s 3 favorites legally removed for their very public bias. I'm still so amazed at all the Republican pushback about her not having previously sat down for an interview. She literally became the official nominee A MONTH AGO and she's been working non-stop on building a campaign and holding rallies to get the Democratic party unified and energized. Most presidential campaigns begin 18-24 MONTHS before voting day; she's had ONE MONTH to put this all together and capture the hearts of a nation.
I think she's done a phenomenal job in the time she's had. I'd like to see ANY other candidate achieve so much in so little time. I'm looking forward to seeing her as our next president!

I was one of the last Brits out of Afghanistan and we were monitoring and planning proposed/troop reductions from 2013. The fact of the matter was that the cost of the conflict was astronomical, but at the same time, there was a huge investment to get the ANSF trained in order to defend themselves when the Coalition Forces exfil'd; we all knew that the Taliban would try it on, but you have to work with what you've got. A special officer training college was set up for ANSF officers and CF partnering units trained and monitored both conventional and Afghan Special Forces - be under no illusion, this was a MASSIVE undertaking, which saw extra CF personnel deployed outside of the normal war fighting remit. On the US front, planning to reduce US troops showed that it would take a significant amount of time to do so, given the number of troops and the amount of kit and equipment. Then Trump entered the White House and entered into negotiations WITH THE TALIBAN WITHOUT THE AFGHAN GOVERNMENT PRESENT. This was known as the Dohar Agreement and let me tell you, it was a pile of sh|t. Once the 'deal was done' Trump washed his hands of support for the ANSF and the country went to ratsh|t; the Afghan government did their best to negotiate and hold free and fair democratic elections, but the Taliban either threw the wall up or walked out every time. As this was happening, withdrawal from Afghanistan by US troops had accelerated to a pace that couldn't really be sustained - hence the lack of support for the ANSF by US troops. Attacks on ANSF by the Taliban grew exponentially. The lack of support was down to the fact that US troops numbers in-country were reducing at a rate that proved their own defence would be impossible because of their own draw-down and exfil. Trump didn't care because he wanted the 'win' for getting troops out of Theatre. There was such a panic that I recall that congressional intervention was necessary to either slow the exfil or maintain enough troops to ensure effective defence of US troops, staff, equipment and other assets. Another issue that the rapid exfil caused was that a number of countries had to redeploy special quick-reaction units to exfiltrate Afghans who held passports for their respective CF country - not just employees, but Nationals who had travelled to Afghanistan for family/business reasons. The absolute CHAOS at APODs was overwhelming, but with the advancing Taliban, The Brits and US forces were wheels-up last, leaving hundreds, if not thousands of US and British passport holders behind. But then Trump lost the 2020 election and blamed the whole lot on Biden, even though Biden was handed a can of worms by Trump. It was widely known throughout the CF community that Trump had severely fkd up during the Dohar Agreement - bulldozing ahead like a moron thinking he could 'do a deal' with the Taliban, ignoring military experts on the logistics and scale of operations to downsize troops in Theatre.
Don't let Trump allow you to think anything different, because he's talking out his ar$e. TRUMP was the one who went into negotiations with the Taliban without the presence of the Afghan Government. Trump set impossible dates for withdrawal. When Trump talks about the withdrawal of Afghanistan - and blames it on Biden, it severely pi$$3s me off.
