Actually relaxed shooters are more consistent then tense shooters so being comfortable before a shot makes for more accurate shot. Off balance is tough to make.

Everyone tries to teach shooting or how they think shooting should Be... I used the BEEF method but I’ve been doing it for 20 years and have added different teaching points and drills. I have 2nd and 3rd grade girls shooting on a 10ft goal from the free throw line making consistent shots. This coach has his concept but I can have this kids shooting with good form and proper footwork into his shot in 20min. Good job coach keep doing your thing.

I recommend middle so that there's an equal amount of ball on each side of the ball and then you have more base on the ball so it won't slip while your'e shooting.

We used a size 7 ball but to learn the mechanics and muscle memory you can start with an even smaller ball to make it easier to learn. Then just move up in size as they progress.

After you have released the ball if your elbow is at eyebrow level you will have about the perfect arc on your shot.

The kid looks in pain lol, why are you teaching him to crouch down and keeping his shoot so low?? His hands and shoulders should be higher up he’s gonna get his shot blocked all the time shooting from hip! You don’t know what the heck your doing 😂I’ve played in college and overseas and I’ve coached for 10 years .. he should be shoulders relaxed high arc and from shooting from over his head! Not from his hip!
