I bought a 4.2 V8 engine from a S8 D2 about half a year ago for 50 euros. It was one of the best purchases of my life, because only the head gaskets were faulty and everything else was in perfect condition. I am currently trying to rebuild it and therefor I have a question - I do not have the ECU of the car, am I able to start the engine with just the ECU or do I require more things? Hi, nice job. I also had this engine repaired. The service had a problem getting connecting rod bearings, wasn't there a problem with you? What was the price of material and work that you could not do yourself?

Now this car is a classic ,she need to be all original..i've the same model with manual gearbox and one of the jobs i was doing was to wrapping the low black plastic profiles in the same colour of the body,but after think about it i've decieed to leave it original..now it's time to keep this car like was made to the factory..anyway congratulations for the job and the car ,keep it like a son ,it's an amazing model and her valutation will go up in the next years

thanks for the parts I bought all in custom Germany because in Albania I could not find everything and the job has become a very good mechanic

I see this beast has LGP (GPL) does it affect the engine in any way? Did it give any problems? Increased wear?
