Got one last week. Just did a few test shots around the yard, but the center is quite sharp. There's considerable blurring around the edges, but it centers your attention on the subject - not bad for $40. The sweet spot in wide mode seems to be about 3".
Yeah, in wide mode it's almost like a special effects lens.
I have just purchased one of these lenses and i am running it with the Gopro Labs motion detection qr code to record the action on a bird feeder!! Good results so far!!

Gopro..... I have't tried yet. But it seems like very usable when people Would like to get action (active) scenes. Even that background blur could be really helpful👍👍
If you need a tiny portable camera that can be thrown around and used underwater, the GoPro is great. Otherwise it's not essential.

Do you know if there is made a zoom lines to the GoPro 10
There are a couple online but we've never tried any of them out. The biggest issue you'd run into with a telephoto mod would be vignetting. You may want to consider getting a Backbone modded GoPro and using C-mount zooms. www.back-bone.ca/
What lens is this? I'm trying to find a macro for my hero 9 black. To be used while scuba diving so dive house compatible is ideal
It's the QKOO 15X Macro Lens for GoPro Hero 9. Just search that on Amazon and it will pop right up.
this macro lens doesn't fit well in the housing- it presses up against the glass and threatens to break it. I created more room in the housing by modifying the back door- carved away the black foam and the plastic surrounding the foam. Now it fits better but still touches glass
Hi, I wanted to use this lens for underwater macro, but I'm afraid that exchanging the macro lens with the standard one could cause problems with waterproofing or with salt/particles.
I was worried about this too, so I looked into it. Apparently the GoPro Hero 9 and 10 are both waterproof even with their protective lenses removed, so you can use this Macro lens without worrying about water getting into the camera. I've also used this macro lens underwater in the ocean since I made this video, and I got good results with it.

Not that we're aware of. Looks like 15x is the closest. If you want a dedicated GoPro macro setup you might want to look at getting your GoPro modded by Back Bone so you can mount macro lenses on it: www.back-bone.ca/gopro-mods/

All the GoPro footage in this video was shot in 4K. Sean just output the video in HD because that's how he shoots his videos sometimes--one camera filming him in 4K and then editing that footage by cropping to HD.
Thank you for these tests regarding the JSU/QKOO 15X Macro lens for GoPro9&10. Just wanted to ask if you tested if the macro lens works with hypersmooth well? Because this reviewer told me it doesn't stabilize well (czcams.com/video/DSKdBV5lwD4/video.html).
I'm also wondering if the results will be the same with this Macro lens (czcams.com/video/XOlCOhuifxo/video.html)?
Oh yeah, we got similar results to that reviewer. It's probably because the GoPro's hypersmooth mode is calibrated to the lens the camera has, so when you add a macro lens on top of it, it most likely doesn't play as well with it. We have not tried that other macro lens, but it looks cool!
