In this second video, I show you how I use this lightweight solar suitcase on my 34-foot trawler boat. I've utilized a pair of kayak holders and 1" PVC pipe to make a support frame off the outside deck rails. This keeps the panels out of my way and maximizes the chance of unshaded exposure. So far, it has worked out well for us, helping to keep our boat batteries charged up when off-the-grid anchoring.

You will always find a way to solve the problem. The boat looks great.
I used a Renogy 100 wt portable suitcase almost everyday for seven years in rough conditions often times. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy their products based on that.
Nice setup--ingenious.
I bought this panel and have had great luck with it. I mainly charge my Bluetti AC180 with it, but I plan to remove my solar panels on a rack on my A frame and use this portable panel instead. The day I received it; I just unfolded it and aimed it at the sun without proper azimuth and I was getting 390 watts.
Sounds like a great match.
Thanks Ray!
Thanks Ray. Like #7
Hoping for a quick recovery if you're under the weather.
Thanks, right after we got the boat in the water we both ended up with Covid. Wasn't too bad, like a cold and on the mend. We have mostly been hanging out at anchor taking it easy.
Nice
Nice boat. Can’t imagine a better gig than winters down in south west and summers in BC on a boat. Does it get any better?
Yeah, it is a great blend especially of you're like me not a big fan of excessive heat or cold. :) I like to chase 70-75 degrees.
Are you at Rebecca Spit?
Yeah, been here a few days now
float panels on pool noodles
Sounds like zappy zappy
That would be interesting the first time some large boat wake came along. :)
