- A little arrangement I made of this well known Irish tune. It is very simple, since I wanted to be able to play it on my lap harp.

Excellent version of a melody that is about 1,000 years old, thanks!
I love it ! And I am named Brian!
I'm enchanted! Such a perfect melody, and you do it justice!
Thank you! :)
Branna Laurelin This gets better every time I come back to it.
Wonderful rendition -- and I believe that you got the nuance of the tune just right. This was a BATTLE MARCH (and it is in "fast-march" time - preparing to charge) - and the Muster/Leinstermen marching to the tune (played by harpers -- since these guys were Irish) all were prepared to die. Your final coda turns the march into a dirge -- as is appropriate (Clontarf was a terrible battle).
Thank you for picking up my intention for this arrangement! :D I don't think many people do. A lot of musicians play this song very differently, more softly, which is also beautiful of course, but I tried to make the tempo more fitting for a battle march. Thank you very much :)
Charming and beautiful. Thank you.
So enchanting! A beautiful rendition! Love the ending!
Beautifully played, beautiful tune..
Many thanks!
Bravo mademoiselle. C'est magnifique. Merci. Bonne nuit de Corse. Roch
Merci beaucoup ^_^
Congratulations! You are really talented with the arp! This is one of the most beautiful versions of "Brian Boru's March" (that is my favourite celtic song) I've ever heard.
+Valerio Napoli Thank you very much! :) That's kind of you!

Peter A Edwards Thank you :)
Your very welcome. I love listening to great music and lovely singers.
Excelent.
I found my favorite version and this is it! So graceful and moving. I am sure King Brian would have approved!!!
Thank you so much! :)
@@BrannaLaurelin I can sing and play "A pretty Irish Girl" from Darby O'Gill and the Little People on the trumpet. I am gong to do Brian Boru's March when I've learned it. I can transpose pretty well as i'm sure you can.
とても素敵な曲です。涙が出てきます。

Beautifully played. I really like your interpretation of this tune!
Thank you very much! :)
you're welcome :-)
I've never heard this on the harp before, but it sounds beautiful!
Oh really? I haven't heard it on anything but the harp :) Thank you!
I am so fascinated!!!
Thank you ^_^
Beautiful! Stunningly played!
Aww, thank you! :3
You're really talented! You go, girl!
Thank you! ^_^
That was very beautiful, loved it!
Thank you very much :)
I'm learning the harp right now and I'm learning this tune!!
+Paige Dougall That's great :) Good luck with everything!
Superb version. I also arranged this theme on my guitar. What magic music. It is so pure that it is hard to believe that it is a funeral march dedicated to King Brian Boru, nicknamed Bóruma.
Congratulations for this beautiful interpretation.

Thank you very much :)
Lovely as always!
Awww ^_^ Thanks, Lindsay!
This is the most wonderful play
Started my harp journey less than 3 months ago and am now learning a less ornamented version of this piece for my final project of a 10-week course. I absolutely love your version and have been listening to it several times each evening after hands-on practice is finished. Thanks so much for this super arrangement and marvelous delivery! :-)
That's wonderful, thank you so much! Good luck on your harp journey ^_^
great job, I love this song. well done
Thank you very much!
I waited a long for a new song, and it is worth it. Wonderfully played!
Sorry you had to wait for so long - it's hard to find time to make videos these days. Glad you think it's worth it, thank you :)
Go raibh maith agat Branna, tá mo chroí leat

Thank you ^^
You are Welcome, I would like to invite you for a concert here in Oslo, would it be something interr
ested for you?
I just realized how ridiculously big harps are :O
...anyway I really like your rendition of this! You really did it justice, and I especially liked how you did the ending
Haha this is a small harp actually :D Only 34 strings! Thank you so much for the compliment :)
Amazing! I love this song!!! :D
Thank you! ^_^
Awesome....merci , magnifique interprétation (in french) .A lot of thanks !!!
Thank you very much! :)
I recognize the title from a slightly lofty book of tinwhistle tunes in notation form that I'm now inspired to take a second look at. Thank you for this and your whole channel, Branna. I'm very glad you are one of the first subscriptions to result from my new first time interest in the harp :)
Aww, I'm glad I could inspire you! Thank you ^_^ Good luck pursuing your new interest in the harp!
Branna Laurelin And I wrote this before I dug deeper into your videos and learned you also play 6 hole fipple flutes :)
Michael M. That I do! ^_^ And the tin whistle, and now the ocarina as well. They're all such fun instruments!
Heavenly music ... made with Celtic Harps. Superb ...... Thank you Brianna! Hello to the next .....
John de Rosa
Thank you very much!
Just so you know I'm not a stalker I'm just incredibly enchanted with your skill as a harpist and I'll continue to spread awareness of your skills 😊
+Kolo Tuiasoa No worries :) Thank you very much, I appreciate that!

Such a distinct and emontional perfomance on such sophisticated intrument. Enchanted, zauroczony! Pozdrowiam z Polski - beannachtaí ón bPolainn! Greetings from Poland!
Thank you very much :)
❤
very nice
Thank you!
go on!
Very nice version - my Mom is an O'Dwyer: O'Duibhirs of Kilnamanagh and also Wicklow - I have DNA matches with distant cousins descended from those families to support the connection - many ended up in New South Wales as rebel convicts - also families that were traditional allies of the O'Dwyers and Maguire: I also have plenty of evidence of our descent from the Maguires of Fermanagh to the tune of Mom's distant cousins being from Kinawley near Enniskillen in Fermanagh (they ended up in New South Wales also) and also we have French/Spanish admixture (so general Southern Euro for Mom and Uncle about 10% and myself 4%) that is from Irish exiles of either (both, or perhaps one or the other) of those families serving as Wild Geese from the 1600s onwards as there are none of those nationalities in Mom's family tree (or my father's side - which is mainly Lutheran German and Scots-Irish from Pennsylvania) - old Colonial families of the 1600s in the NE of America - or Irish exiles and potato famine Irish so only explanation is Irish serving over on the Continent and then coming back to Ireland (which both O'Dwyers and Maguires did do) and then on to the States! Also MacDonald of Barra in that mixture and French Canadian so probably from the Maguires (MacDonalds mixed with that group up north also O'Neill and O'Donnell - that shows up also) and the French from Exiles... Keating records The O Duibhidhir of Coill na Manach (Kilnamanagh) and Mag Cormain were the O'Brien's marshals of the hosts - and also Pillars of each battle ford! They were quite militant! Maguires also well known for their fierce resistance to the Monarchy ;-)! My father's side also had Jacobite Scottish Highlanders (Fraser, MacDonald, Ferguson of Atholl - all supported by DNA matches), but not as much as my Mother's side! Also you are very pretty my kind of lady! Keep up the good work!
Good for you! I have no Irish ancestry myself. Thank you very much!
well done.
Thank you.
dia dhuit. good job.
Go raibh maith agat! :)
I love the irish culture, and if any is reading this, will agree with me chile should and must have more citizens with irish background, and somehow this march should and must be accepted by the chileans

Lyrics:
Marv Brian Boru 'rein buhez 'n Iwerzhon
Dihan e Bro-Ulad ha ba ker Dulenn
Undedan tiegezhn unded an dud-man
Unded ar Gelted hag an douar
Maraiodh Brian Boru chun beatha nna heireann
Siochain in gcuige Uladh agus i mbaile 'cliath
Aontacht an teaghlaigh, aontacht na dtuath
Aontacht an domhain is na gCeiltteach

Diouzh 'bed doueek bennozh ar c'haroud
O neart an chata go neart na siochana

Gur choir duinn bheith sollunta fein

Beatifull lady
Muhteşem :) sizi seviyorum
i lov ur cover so much! btw,how many strings on dis harp and which brand of harp r u playing?
Thank you! This harp has 34 strings and it's the Ravenna 34 from Dusty Strings - an amazing harp!
Nice! Very graceful. And btw your hair really shines in this is it natural red? It looks great
Thank you :) No, this is the result of dyeing my hair with henna for more than a year then trying to get rid of it again by lightening it with honey and chamomile etc. My natural colour is dark blonde/light golden brown.
Branna Laurelin ah interesting sounds better than store bought products.
Question: brian boru was a king, who was killed by?
he was killed in his tent as a old man by retreating viking at the battle of clontarf which was won by the irish forces
What kind of harp is this? I love its sound and would like to purchase one like this. Dost thou know where I can?
This is a Dusty Strings Ravenna 34 :) 10/10 would recommend! They're very affordable, too :) And light to carry around, without compromising the sound.
Go híontach!
Go raibh míle maith agat! :D
Very nice and a very pretty girl.
Thank you!
that big thing is a lap harp? it's not as large as a 47 string concert harp, but a lap one?
It's not a lap harp because they are smaller, typically around 22 strings. This is a 34-string lever harp (it has levers instead of pedals), which is technically a floor harp - but this one has a built-in extendable leg which makes it possible to play it standing up :) I can also play it sitting down on a low seat. Harps come in all sizes ^_^ I also have a 40-string lever harp which is almost as big as a concert harp!
Can you make a cover of Gabhaim Molta Bride please?
+troubadour in fog Sorry, I only make covers of music that mean something special to me, and I've never heard that song.
What harp do you have? Is it a Dusty Strings?
It is indeed! A Ravenna 34. Wonderful harp!
