since you where asking about secret room looks at 1:58 the right floor tile has an X on it, they are pretty easy to see if you know where to look for, i think they can only be on floor tiles not the wall so its like 3-5 places to check per room

Even though the random consumables rooms don't give potions or infusions I'm pretty sure they can give you the present item which can give potions or infusions. Just FYI if you ever pick up the permanent infusions or permanent potions perk in the future.
One thing about the meta currency is that, as a viewer, I’m curious about some of the gift things like the Hero’s Broken Sword or whatever it’s called. However, I agree it doesn’t make sense to worry about the straight meta upgrades when you’re already beating it regularly.
I think what also makes the Thief work is the fact that they're not "must-picks". Sometimes, when items or perks are op in these types of games, it kind of develops into "take this or the game is way harder" instead of "take this and the game is easier", which is definitely a good thing

Deprived is just an angry naked guy with a weapon. I wonder how it stacks with you picking a +1 to proficiency when you level up.

Really appreciate the series - i wouldn't last 2 min in any bullet hell (except Heck Deck which I think is on the channel) so it's great to experience the game this way!

I'm no Sun Tzu, but perhaps it's not the best idea to have a villainous monologue when being bombarded with sickles.
I hope your series will atleast reach 20 episodes this game is soo good and (spoiler dont read from now on: looks like theres still some stuff that we didnt see and the dev might add even more content so hell yea and if it will get boring even more restrictions are your best friend.) if the dev would add modding so the workshop this game would go crazy alot of people underate it but it actually makes the game way more enjoyable since people will always create new content maybe you can ask the dev to think about that if he didnt thought about that yet.

Love how Malthael got killed by his baby version.
At 19:53 he didn't get just a random katana, it is The Yamato.
For the Sphinx fight, when he does the attack where he shoots out large balls that split into smaller ones (done at 16:48), there is a safe spot if you stand next to the boss and follow right behind the larger balls as they spin around.
I wonder, whether if you have enough movement speed, you can snag multiple weapons out of that weapon and cage-drop room
I’m not sure. Picking one might put you in an inescapable animation that won’t let you move until the cages are dropped on the weapons that weren’t picked.
had a thief run yesterday ending whit a sniper rifle hitting for 6000 critting for 15000. yeah pretty op
10:10 agility would probably have been great in the sugar rush run

I bet the katana does more damage than scythe if IF they were the same level upgrade wise
towards the end there, you had a chance... not to crit...
I can't play the game atm so I have no way of knowing, but it seemed like the status effect damage perk did stack

I for one appreciate your compromise with the metacurrency. Intentionally skipping just some of it doesn't bother me the way ignoring it outright would.
Also I like this series, have wishlisted the game, and will buy it day 1 if it's ~5 dollars. You've turned me onto a couple of games like this so far. Grats, yo.

I love how meta currency works in this game. A totally optional, unnecessary little bonus that you can use to unlock things that might make gameplay more fun for you personally.
Having it skipped here shouldn't bother anyone in the slightest- if you find it annoying, that's a big incentive for you to pick up the game when it comes out and explore the meta! 💙
Content idea. Keep doing basically no meta and do the math for the end of the series and do an OP run with all bought? Nice simple way of more episodes and everyone's itch gets scratched

Does this game have multiple difficulties?
Not yet, but there is something planned for the future I believe. Not sure what format it will be though.
@@Retromation Hmm could be cool I am sure but for me I prefer just one difficulty. A game just as is. Like Enter the Gungeon. I mean of course there were things you could mess with once you unlocked stuff like the turbo speed but I liked that it was just one difficulty setting.
Only reason for you to pick up meta currency is for unlocking the last two characters, but then again you seem to have gotten enough to unlock them up to this point anyway so *shrug*

I am aware, but if you look at his attack patterns they are very obviously lifted from the Hades boss fight in Hades.

When I play the game I have to kill each boss twice. They resurrect after the first kill and I have to kill them again. wtf. You only had to kill them once. What is going on?
the game has had updates since it came out, and a full second phase healthbar for bosses was one of the major ones.
deprived might trigger if you only don't have one of those things, the wording is weird.

I agree about the meta currency. Why do I want to upgrade things to make the game easier? In the long term, that just means the game will be less fun. The best way to do any kind of meta progression is just unlocks. The gungeon and isaac way of just getting more things to play with instead of skewing the difficulty in your favor progressively until it's not even fun anymore is just lame. Like if this game was super hard to the point of needing the meta currency upgrades, I still wouldn't say that's a good way to do it, I'd just say make the game a little fairer. And with this game being as easy as it looks, I'd say it especially doesn't need you to get stronger.
there are persons who want to have a easy time too, and the fantasy of being overpower, so the ideal spot would be the game having upgrades that make it easier to casual players, but allow u to desactivate them if u want to be challenge or try speedruning or perfecting it. Also it could have modifiers u can buy to make the game even harder on purpose on diferent ways than just stat checking, like enemies becaming faster, starting with only 1 heart, that there is less items to pick, or that u need more exp to level up ETC
@@gexianhen I mean, what your looking for is extensive accessibility options, something that I am all for. Toggleable settings unlocked from the get-go for players that want or need that experience is something I'll _always_ be a champion for. Meta-currency in _most_ games that have it force it on everyone.
