I'm 50 now. my beautiful mum and dad passed away when I was 21. Growing up mum played Engelbert every Sunday while she cooked dinner. I had the most amazing loving mum anyone could want. She had 8 children we were all treated equally with undivided love and attention, of course our fantasic dad did the same Solid stable upbringing. And our faith in the Lord
Please go back to the traditional latin mass in which u will be in union with your mum who would love to see go for the traditional latin mass of our saints and ancestors.

My mom loved this man so much and got to see him twice I unfortunately lost her on may 9th 2023 to leukemia 😞. This song,among others,reminds me when my mom would play and replay the Please Release Me album in the late 60's.Engelbert was her favorite english language signer since we are french Canadians.She passed away almost 3 years ago and i kept all of CD and DVD collection of Humperdinck.
My grandmother used to sing his songs to me all the time I’m 15 now and she lived a long 91 years and I had to watch her leave this world, his songs will always be something special to me😢

Yesterday, November 4, 2022, I had the opportunity to take my wife to see Engelbert sing live one more time to celebrate our 42nd. anniversary. This great singer, despite having physical problems, has not lost anything of his great voice. Best of all, my wife was thrilled to see her favorite singer so close to her. Time shouldn't go through this kind of stars that make us happy, and at the same time make us dream awake. I lost my dad in April 2022. He used to play Englebert in the car on long drives. This reminds me of him, those drives, and all of the good things I remember about him. What a wonderful song.
