If you are not sure yet about you visiting Sarajevo, man just do it :) Sarajevo is very welcoming and such a beautiful city. You can see the old part of the city (ottoman), and the austro-hungarian part of the city walking across one street. You can see mosque, catholic cathedral, orthodox church and a sinagogue one next to other. Sarajevo went through a lot in its history, but it kept its soul. Everyone who visited Sarajevo said that this city has "specific soul" which will make you want to come again :)

While we have plenty of walnuts. So it became normal to only use walnuts. 2. Trilece is not from Bosnia or Balkans. They are from South America. Tres Leches. It was adopted and became popular from Turkey to the Balkans.

Funny how a lot of foreigners describe Bosnian food as always full of different type of meat yet up until few hundred years ago all of Bosnia was vegetarian and eating any type of meat/flesh was considered taboo. Most Bosnians dont even know that but its a fact.Thats why you have so many different types of pitas and dishes that have no meat at all. Also another little known fact is that Bosnia people are amongst the tallest if not the tallest people amongst European nations. This is a quote from one of the European studies "people in Bosnia and Herzegovina have the genes to be the tallest people in the world, but they're just not eating enough protein to grow":)
