North and South Carolina it goes by county ordinance on the legality of it, the county I hunt it’s legal if you have permission on both sides of the highway which we do. I’ve let several nice bucks go because a car was coming and I couldn’t safely take the shot. Doesn’t bother me a bit and I’d never put anyone in danger over a deer!
You have some good open clear cuts you should get a drone and use it to identify the deer lol
