- Today we are going to archive one of the best games that has come out this year! Bramble The Mountain King is an awesome indie title that feels like it pulls inspiration from classics like Inside and Little Nightmares and mixes it with a good amount of Scandinavian folklore.
We play as the boy Olle as we go and rescue our sister. During our perilous journey we will encounter all kinds of creatures, animals and monsters. The atmosphere and vibe in this game are absolutely fantastic. It is so mystical, cut and scary at the same time. One moment you are riding the cutest hedgehog through a pond and five minutes later you are fighting a bloodthirsty troll. There is always something new around each corner and the tempo and pacing are great because of this.
The boss fights were quite varied and pretty challenging too, so that is a good thing. Probably my only complaint is that some of the platforming could be a bit tighter. There are sometimes sequences were timing jumps or performing them will get you glitched or feel off. Games like Inside had perfected this, but that is only on a 2D scale whereas Bramle is in 3D so it is understandable that this is much harder to achieve. But having said that, Bramble is a game not to be missed by enthusiasts of single player adventure games.

I love Scandinavian folklore. My father is part Norwegian and he always told me the story "..Østenfor sol og vestenfor måne.." which is East of the Sun and West of the Moon one of my all-time favorite Norwegian folklore.

I just recently got this game for switch OLED........beautiful port very pretty gunna have to play in 1080 in docked but anyone who goes through life these devs did great it's like you feel this boys pain of going through rough times so much art in this and the remothered series you feel the art in graphics ports and all same with fatal frame 4 also great port great acting from the Japanese voice actors who cares in they're roles and I'm amazed great games are still great just like resident evil 0 on OLED all great ports great games and you feel the chills and attachment.....bramble brought that back in games today!!!!! Indie games have so much more to them!!!!! It's great to see games still made with care and art makes me still realize I have high hopes of putting my own drawings into my own game soon!!!!! Plan on it still making my own game with a game design program bramble is a great example of how games should still be made!!!!!!! Such a great spooky very artistic beautiful game!!!!!!!
