I was tempted to grow this plant in my garden but for a very different reason, it makes excellent ground cover for hedgehogs to build nests under.

That's interesting. I have heard rustling in there. Wonder if it's a hedgehog

Good for you man I I think that is great I'm going to try to sell what is on my property. I hope for the best. am looking at this video because out on my little farm where there are literally hundreds of miniature pampas grass growing in the recently plowed soil and also I've noticed that there's an abundance of these growing in the field which is actually a nuisance we cut grass in the field for the goats and I'm not sure if they eat this or not anyway thank you for this. I did not know that they had blooms and that is also very interesting😊 thanks for your video

Hi Jeff. Thanks for this lovely comment. Your situation sounds very interesting what with the grass and the goats. In the UK they use the grass for wedding flowers arrangements too. Mark

In Argentina, Brazil, Mexico etc, they cultivate Pampas Grass as a fodder for all livestock, including goats, cattle, sheep and even horses! It makes sense because horses originally came from Central and South America, in ancient times, and this was one of their favourite fodders.

Very interesting, I love pampas grass but it won't grow here on my clay soil 🤔

Can they be left alone on the plant all year if you wanted to? Or would it prevent new blooms from growing? Also, I can’t find the link, did you manage to sell any? (I’m just curious)

Hi. Yes you can leave them. I still have my crop in the garage drying. Not sold them yet. Mark

They're like feather boas on sticks! I can imagine a few drag queens might be able to make use of them in their acts or costumes... (apart from the spikiness!!)

There's a bit of an urban myth about these being grown by swingers to signify their lifestyle. I'm sure it's just a myth though eh Mark 😉😉🤣
