  • I pulled this old craftsman table saw out of the scrap pile. All I'm interested in is the cast iron top on it. Spoiler alert: I turn the old table saw into a welding table. The cast iron top is perfectly flat, the hole for the saw blade makes a great place to clamp work down, and welds don't stick to it easily. Thanks for watching!

I just purchased a heavy duty metal cart on wheels it’s 32 1/4” height 30” length and 24” width. I’m waiting for a call on a 10” Craftsman table saw with both extensions 40” x 27” for the ultimate welding table both pieces for under 70.00 the cart was 30.00 and the table saw was 36.50. This is my second build, the first one was a three legged grinder table, then I purchased steel parking lot draining cover that were 12”x 60” length so I cut it in half and spot welded them together for a 24”x30” table top I bolted them down so I could travel with them in two separate sections. It’s heavy.

That will make a great welding table! Yeah I bet it's very heavy. Sound like you are having fun!
