true that, i have loads of geordie and mackem mates. they all would rather all 3 teams were doing well because the games are better between us. they all feel like we do. all these tin pot clubs down south up in the big league isnt right. we all should be up there. sure all the staff agree carrick leads woody. its a ne pride thing. they will take up up. feels like we can really move forward with carrick.
Definitely mate, absolutely spot on. We live breathe eat sleep football up here haha. Don't get me wrong I love the rivalry but it's nothing more than that. I'd love to see all NE teams doing well. Miles better than all the southern rubbish at the moment.

We forget under woody even when we was poor Paddy was stand out as a more forward thinking midfielder now with experience of Carrick they will bring out the absolute best in him and I believe all our midfielders If we get Payero back as well he will be absolutely quality only young and learning from the likes of Carrick and getting shown support as he clearly has ability same with Riley etc I seen this as a benefit for the whole team Defenders Midfielders & Strikers just be interesting to see who he starts in goal as Roberts is still the better of the 2 for me! #UTB
Seen more enthusiasm watching the Acklam Steelworks footy team pmsl seriously though like what they are doing, players are buying into it, us supporters will, results will be the deciding factor, just hope we dont rush to judgment if we don't hit the ground running, our position isnt false, its a sad state of affairs but not getting the ball into the net created our current standing, we've dominated games, been the better team etc but not having the luck or rub of the green, bad refereeing decisions etc etc are the same old worn out excuses for just not winning the game, I'd rather us lose 3-0 and give it everything we've got then losing 1-0 and playing for pride or whatever crap you want to call it, remember Maclaren with the UEFA Cup games, nothing to lose, we needed the seemingly impossible task of scoring 4 goals, so out went the safety tactic and on came more strikers, we all know what happened next, then that seemingly impossible feat was proved it wasn't a fluke when fate dealt us the same hand, and another 4 goals was needed, goodbye to safety approach again and hello to "all or nothing" playing style, attack, score & repeat, lol sounds simple, but treat every single game like that and we'll have no worries about relegation thats for sure, rip-up the current guide book if that hasn't happened already, play with nothing to lose, attack, attack and then attack, this is my 2 cents anyway UTB, Good Luck Michael Carrick & Co, wish you all the success in the world,
