Aerosmith was the band that got me into music when i was 12 in 1993. I got emotional at knowing that I'll never see them live again or them putting out a new song. All things come to an end and watching my musical heroes retire or pass away is painful. Aerosmith was and always will be part of my my life

It's too bad you were introduced to them so late, (of course not your fault), but their 70s music bar far outdoes any of their 90s songs - in spades. That's the music that put them on the map. Rocks, Get Your Wings, Draw The Line, and Toys in the Attic shine far brighter then the commercial crap they put out decades later.

I was at the show in Saratoga NY. They all sounded good and Sammy vocals were tucked right into the track. From the Lawn at SPAC, it was a great show. My voice was ripped after the show and I did not have to sing it again 2-3 nights later in some other town. You have to give sammy and the band for continuing to do it at their age. Aerosmith: A Timeless Anthem for the 80s, 90s, and Beyond
My tribute to one of the best bands ever!
    #judeestwocents
    Judee Richardson Schofield
Aerosmith rocked the world with sold-out shows across the globe, captivating millions with their raw energy and unforgettable sound. Growing up in the 80s, every memory seemed to have an Aerosmith hit playing in the background. Their music was more than just notes strung together with words; it was a healer, a friend, an inspiration-the universal language that all people understand. Aerosmith had that rare ability to take you on a journey, letting you drop your cares and woes at the door and unleash pure joy alongside like-minded souls in a thumping crowd.
Whether it was a sexy, sultry melody that pulled at your heartstrings or a scream so powerful it could make dogs howl, their music was a force of nature. Every note carried an emotion so potent it demanded to be felt, and no matter how loud you played it, it was never loud enough. For me, their music was more than a soundtrack; it was a way of life-a reminder that even in the toughest times, the power of rock could see you through.
But Aerosmith's impact was more than just musical-it was cultural. They weren't just a band; they were a fashion legend that redefined pop rock and paved the way for glam rock. With their long hair, bold makeup, tight jeans, and iconic scarves, they set a look that became the standard by the 90s. Aerosmith didn't just play music; they embodied a lifestyle that resonated across generations, making them more than a band-they became a movement. Their legacy will forever stand as a timeless anthem for the 80s, 90s, and beyond.

The sad thing is that younger generations will never get to see some old bands and artists from the boomer era live. They will only know of these bands and artists if their grandparents (boomers or gen X) happen to have records and tapes of them. Sammy Hagar and Mike are doing a Van Halen tribute tour now, but the Van Halen band with Dave back, Alex, Eddie, and Wolfgang is defunct now, last concert Oct 2015 and disbanded after Eddie's passing on Oct 6, 2020. Fleetwood Mac is also defunct since Christine's passing a couple years ago. Stevie Nicks is still touring on her own.

At least they didn't choose to resort to lip syncing like some of these old bands (ie. Bon Jovi, The Eagles). Sad news either way. Would have been great for them to go out on their own terms.

I’ve been a fan forever and was fortunate to meet Steven Tyler the year of the New York blackout when their tour with Kiss was moved up a day due to the blackout in Bonner Springs, KS. Because of the date change a concert friend of mine’s husband couldn’t go. She emailed me and asked if I wanted to go in his place. It was the Velvet Rope Experience and we had second row tickets because of it. I got to meet Steven before he got out of his limo. Great memory in my life and I even got pics onstage with his microphone setup. A few years after that I took my son to see them in Wichita, KS and I went the next day to Bonner Springs to see them again. They were worth every penny I spent. What a fantastic run! They are such a part of my music style…thanks for the memories since I was a teenager. Enjoy retirement! It’s well earned!

Growing up just outside of Boston. Aerosmith was the band. The bad boys of Boston or the toxic twins. Some kids parents collected their kids toys and put the toys in the attic. When the kids got older they fell in love with the girls of summer. But carefull what you look at because the dude looks like a lady. But one girl stood out. Because Janie had a gun. She drew her line in the sand. Before you started crying. You went back to your hotel and got on the elevator and thought love in the elevator. You wanted some pink and the sweetest thing. You said to yourself walk this way and let me give you a pump with my big 10 inch. Thank you Aerosmith for all the sweet songs and memories every time we hear that song. So open your Aerosmith wings and get some wind therapy. Peace out

Vocal cords stiffen as you age. It gets harder to sing loud rock. Look at Bon Jovi and Bruce, both cord problems. My old choir director is 84, world class opera singer. Still sings but has trouble with her range. All singers know that age catches up with you, especially after years of hard singing, even with training. I applaud Aerosmith for knowing to bow out gracefully.
