Only 5% of women go on their due date and first time moms usually go over, closer to 42 weeks
I didn't go into labor with my first back in August until 41w2d. I had an awesome home water birth. Hope things go smoothly for your hospital birth!

I love how she is so different from the Instagram influencers when they are pregnant. Like it’s so refreshing to see her being a normal pregnant woman instead of having her makeup and perfect outfit and running a marathon. Yet she still looks so genuinely beautiful

I was so miserable when I was pregnant. I hurt so bad, threw up over everything,I couldn’t breathe, and was unbearably hot, and had heart burn so bad I couldn’t even lay down flat. I started talking to other moms and they all felt the same and I cried so hard from relief. I was high risk and couldn’t tell what was normal or not. My dr was horrible and never listened. It’s so refreshing to see stuff like this and knowing i wasn’t a miserable person who couldn’t enjoy being pregnant and was just a hormonal person growing an entire person in me

i've literally watched kelsey and cody since 2018 when i was in middle school, now i'm in college and watching them grow a family. im literally emotional like my big sister is having a child?? LOVE YOU MOTHER SO PROUD OF EVERYTHING

no fr i came to the comments to say that 😭❤
just had my baby a month ago and the biggest things i’d suggest would be:
-braid your hair before you go. my hair was in a bun and i didn’t brush it once and it got matted at the nape of my neck.
-bring extra absorbent diapers for yourself. my hospital only had mesh underwear (which are basically fishnet underwear) and pads. i couldn’t hold my pee at all so every time i got up to go potty i would pee the entire way there and then have to clean up the trail
-bring a folder. you’re going to get so many fucking papers.
-bring flushable wipes for yourself because hospital toilet paper sucks
-bring a tub of aquaphor if you plan on circumcising him to prevent the wound from sticking to the diaper.
-have your postpartum care station set up and ready to go in your bathroom. diapers, tucks pads, peri bottle, flushable wipes, hemorrhoid cream etc
Not even pregnant yet and i screenshotted the hell out of this
And chapstick, lip balm, Aquaphor... whatever your dry lip relief preference is because your lips _will_ get chapped if you're in the hospital for any length of time.
I also brought a heavy, as in warm, blanket because hospital blankets are basically just sheets or those really thin knit blankets... basically sheets. I was freezing just shivering _so_ bad I lost enough weight to get back into my prebaby jeans before the weeks ended (my baby stopped breathing after coming out so they kept her in the NICU for a week for observance). So, having to be there for the week, meant being cold the whole time, so hubby ran home and got my electric blanket for me to cuddle up in without my baby.
You cannot flush flushable wipes.

No, you cannot flush baby wipes, flushable wipes can be flushed, but you need to check on your system to see if it can handle them. Most well maintained septic systems can handle a nominal amount, city systems can usually handle them, but show moving systems cannot. Leech fields are a definite no no.
@@tiggerdcatEven wipes labeled as flushable are better off just in the trash. A lot that are advertised as flushable don’t break down quickly enough

I love how real Kelsey is. She’s not trying to pretend there’s not going to be hard or gross parts to pregnancy like so many influencers do. They either don’t mention it at all or do the opposite and bring it up for sympathy. Instead she sees the comedy in it, like when she made the joke about the baby “coming out of her Va-Giii-Naa” in that funny vlog a couple months ago with Kody, or for example just the way she talks about it or acts in front of the camera, it’s just so natural and not forced or obnoxious or looking for attention from people. Idk I’m not doing it justice at all it’s so hard to put into words. At the end of a day if I was a baby about to be born into this world and raised by anyone I would want it to be this woman and her man. You guys are going to be the absolute best parents. Hope you have a safe and healthy delivery, Kelsey! As a mom, I strongly recommend either Dermaplast spray or the Frida mom ice pads! They were a life saver for me postpartum.
Loved the ice pads!! Even after they melted they were still more comfortable to sit on than if I didn’t use them!
not to sound weird, but its so sweet and cute and inspiring? in a way, to see kelsey go from making her boyfriend squirm when she mentions wanting a baby,to see her having a son with her now-husband! it's been sweet to see their relationship grow over time and now to see them become parents!

About the cats fighting recently; we had a similar issue and found out it was because of new furniture. Cats can be territorial, and if there is any new furniture in the house they want to claim it as theirs. So that could be the reason they are suddenly fighting when they usually dont. Btw love the vlog and so happy for you
I think they could sense that it was babytime soon, the fluctuation of hormones can set them off as well! So territory would be spot on, but I think it was over Kelsey 😂❤

When my mom gave birth to me, the cats in the house became insanely jealous from not getting as much attention, and were peeing everywhere. Now that I type this out that might not even be a thing, that was just what I was told.
@@Emma-2029My parents had one cat when I was born and it got weird too! The cat was fine when my older sister was born but it hated me haha. It kinda went crazy, I don’t know the details about what it was doing though

For the cats :
Could be multiple reasons as to why
-they sense the new change that is about to happen
-puberty
- if you just got new furniture they could be fitting over who to claim it
There’s many others but that’s what I first thought
these ^ , and i would also add that if they just play fight and swat at each other it's probably no issue, but if the continue to fight until they are hissing at each other i would suggest adding more spaces in your home where both cats can leave to if needed. sometimes they just need space from other cats, preferably somewhere high up so they feel they have a view of everything that's going on.
Ok Kels, this might go against the whole low-maintenance aspect of Mom's famous cinnamon rolls, but I promise it's worth it. Making the dough from scratch makes a huge difference and it genuinely is not hard. I like to make the dough the night before I want to eat them and watch a movie while making the dough. The first rise will get you halfway through the movie and then you roll out the dough and spread on like 1/3 C softened butter and then toss on as much brown sugar and cinnamon as you see fit (It's fun bc you really get to use your own preferences). You roll up the dough into a log and then cut them into rolls, place them in a greased pan, and stick them in the fridge overnight. The best part of this step is that the second rise will take place in the fridge overnight (since it's cold in the fridge it's a slow rise so you don't have to worry about overproofing). You just take them out 30 minutes before the bake (the rise will complete as it de-chills) as you wait for the oven to preheat. When I tell you ppl lose their minds over these things, they really do. And then, for frosting, I do 1/2 butter and like 2 C powdered sugar (once again I just eyeball and tinker from there) a splash of vanilla and if I have cream cheese I do like 1/3 C or something but in a pinch I'll toss in a Tbsp or two of greek yogurt (adds a little tang in place of CC) or sour cream. I'll link my fav two recipes. Baby Ko will definitely ask Momma for these !! You deserve a one-up on Cody in the baking dept.

Awww this makes me so happy- I watched you for years and became a mom in 2022 and now you're becoming a mom and it's so exciting!! It's such a rollercoaster but it's the best ride you'll ever go on. You look great Kelsey! I unfortunately went to 41 weeks and hated it - honestly I hated every minute of pregnancy, but when my baby came it was the best feeling in the world. Hang in there and take care of yourself momma💕 also enjoy every last bit of food- because food when you're pregnant is the best.. I'm sad to say food just isn't as good as it was when I was pregnant 🤣

I found out I was pregnant in February 2023 and my husband got a new job so we moved in December 2023. We didn’t get to have a nursery for our babe either, we just put her in our room. Very similar set up to you and Cody. Now we are moved and settled and so excited to make a sweet space for our sweet pea! Congratulations you guys!
