I've seen a lot of miniature trees, but I have to say that these are some of the most realistic I've come across. Your attention to detail is impressive; I'm not exaggerating when I say these look like the kind of quality you'd find in miniatures made for movies (obviously long before cgi became the more prevalent technology).

Thank you very much! Yes time to return to using scale models, costumes and puppets in movies like the good old classics ;)

Exactly what I was thinking. This is actually much more detailed and realistic than what is required to suite my needs lol, but so many great techniques were demonstrated that I can cherry pick for various projects (loved how he made the vines!). This is master class stuff here, by a true artist. Hats off to ya Paepercuts, I'll remember you for sure if I need instruction on stepping up my craft to the next level.

This goes way beyond the usual standard for miniatures games terrain. The result is breathtaking, with the correct background it would even be hard to tell wether these are real or not.
However, with so many different techniques and materials I doubt I have the time, patience, skill and money to pull off something like this.

A lot of things I probably won't use (I'm modelling for a less realistic look), but the core means of building the trees was really informative, and seeing the steps for things like the mushrooms, vines and lichen really helped me see what I can add to make terrain like this stand out. Thank you so much!
